Fast Food places getting rid of pretty much everything I would order

I don't eat fast food much these days, especially compared to my younger years, but when I do grab a quick bite I try to get something relatively healthy.

So the last few months have been a bummer on that topic.

Subway got rid of the Rotisserie Chicken sandwich, Subway Club, and the Roast Beef! Three of the healthier choices gone. I loved the Rotisserie Chicken sandwich because unlike the weird chunk stuff they have, this was basically pulled chicken and tasted much better.

They also dropped the Roast beef and Club. I have always thought their turkey and ham weren't so great, but if I want something a little healthier, those and the veggie are the only ones left! So my days of going to Subway are gone.

And Burger King I was sad to learn got rid of both the grilled chicken broiler and veggie burger. So now if you want a chicken sandwich from there it will only come with breaded and loaded with fat. Shitty. They also dropped the veggie burger. You can still get that weird fake meat Impossible Whopper but the veggie burger they had forever is gone. I think the veggie burger was a Morning Star patty but still it was good and it sucks they dropped it.

It's as if these places felt bad about actually offering a few somewhat healthy options.

I am really pissed that Taco Bell got rid of the fiesta Potatoes!

It was one less fast food vegetarian item available, I mean, they even had spicy potato tacos made of the same potatoes. Those were all right.

They are doing you a favor... don't eat at those places... you'll live longer.

Del Taco is pretty tough to beat when it comes to healthier options. My go-to is the bowl with grilled chicken, rice, black beans, fresh salsa and sliced avocado. That's pretty decent nutrition for around 6 bucks.

Down here in the 2000's, McDonald's started making their burgers to order instead of just having them all pre made before rush times. This resulted in having to wait twice, once to place your order and again to get your order.

I find if I have to wait in McDonald's too long, I realize I shouldn't be there in the first place!

The kids that work there as well don't have the skills to keep up with the orders either and wait times can be really bad. So much for "fast food".

It seems to be a common practice to come up with a product that puts ones business on the map, and then allow said product to deteriorate. Build name recognition and the sheep will continue to follow.

Subway is a perfect example of this. When they first moved into my area back in the 1980s, they had the best sandwiches in town. Then the quality and service were allowed to gradually erode. The more locations they opened the worst they got.

My final Subway sandwich consisted of a dry bun crammed full of lettuce. There wasn't much room left for the four paper-thin slices of luncheon meat, the kind you can purchase at any supermarket. That was nine years ago and I haven't done business with them since. I can only imagine how much further they've fallen.

The Bacon Lover's Twister is gone from KFC over here. I used to get that. Oh, well, Supercharged is better anyway.
