Anyone remember this TV mystery movie series from 1973?

I have fond memories of watching this as a child way back. It only ran for about 4 episodes.

It starred Dan Dailey as a guy who had spent 30 years or so in a South American jail for a crime he didn't commit. He used to be a private detective, ans when he is released and comes back to the US his son (James Naughton) is running the business.

He takes up where he left off, but the gimmick of course is that he has to learn how the modern world works again.

I particularly remember a scene where he is involved in a car chase, and is struggling with the gears.

It would be great to see this again, used to love a lot of the old TV mystery movies and series. But this seems to have vanished.

Don't suppose anyone knows where it can be viewed or purchased?

I don’t remember it but it looks like it was part of the NBC rotating mystery series with Columbo, McCloud, McMillan and Wife, etc.

Yes, it was part of that series. But like I say it ran only 4 episodes/movies and was cancelled.

I guess being used to having access to everything on YouTube and streaming services, it feels frustrating not to be able to get hold of this one.
