*Bought the Miata new in 2009 - they had a huge excess inventory after the 2008 market downturn and were offering amazing incentives. I got it for $16k
*Bought the Lexus at the end of May - 1 year old with 9,200 miles. Certified with 4 years warranty remaining. Sticker was $39,900 and I bought it for $28,400. Fantastic deal and the car was like new.
How much was it? It's MSRP? What configuration did you get of it? What options did you get on it? What did you pay down?

*Miata really doesn't offer a lot of options, but since then I've done a lot of upgrades - including a custom leather interior.
* Lexus came equipped with all the bells and whistles - it has a sunroof, which is unfortunately bundled into a package. For the life of me I don't get sunroofs.

*Lexus - put $10K down, financed the rest and will pay off by March.

Bought both cars through a dealership.
I don't own a car currently, but I've been thinking about getting my driver's permit for the first time after a long time of not having it.
* No idea what your budget is, but dealers are still offering great deals- lots of 0% financing if you are interested in new and even better deals if you are willing to buy a late model used car. Suggest you go online and just shop around to see what is available.
I'm 32 years old, and first got my permit at 16 years old, but never got my license.
I've been thinking about trying to get my license for the first time, and getting a car for the first time maybe as well.
