What's your movie idea?

If you could write and direct a movie, what would it be about? Of course, if you're a genuine writer and are working on a screenplay, I don't expect you to reveal your idea to the internet. But if you can at least provide me with a breif synopsis.

A movie about the race around the world between Nellie Bly and Elizabeth Bisland. Although it might work better as a mini series. Maybe I would do a movie about Alexandrine Tinne instead.

A man who owes money to a crime boss is visited by a debt collector, culminating in a huge cat and mouse game, which eventually leads to a violent showdown between the two. Whole thing takes place on a farm, just with the two actors.

reply

I'd watch that. What's the title?

reply

The Collector.

Spiders On Gliders

Giant spiders emerge from a thought to be extinct volcano during a mass hang-gliding event.

This works on so many levels.

Thank you.

A old mysterious man watches a young male neighbor. The young neighbor completely fits the definition of "snowflake" in every way and then some. One day the mysterious old man gives this young man a VHS copy of The Searchers. The young man somewhat bemused looks at it, thanks the old man and quickly looks up it value on the internet. Seeing it's is worth only $5 he throws it in the trash.

John Wayne's image comes alive in anger and transports the snowflake into the movie. The snowflake knows he is from the future and that he is in some sort of western but John Waynes character does not know this. The plot goes on as planned with the addition of the snowflake and because of his careless actions has to get involved.

Comedy insues when the pampered snowflake has to adjust to the harsh reality of the west in 1870.

Sounds original but reminded me a bit of Last Action Hero?

reply

You don't really expect anyone to put anything genuinely original here do you ?

reply

Kind of except no annoying kid, this would be a young adult.

Computer tech to reanimate John Wayne and give him back and forth dialogue with the snowflake.

The real film The Searchers.

Shouldn't cost that much🙄

reply

Woody Allen, Steve Martin did similar type of films also (Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid/ Purple Rose of Cairo)

reply

So many sequels could spawn from that with snowflakes in other films, I wanna see Saving Private Snowflake, followed by the 13th Social Justice Warrior!

reply

Yes, you could substitute any 'manly' movie where the male lead shows perseverance and gumption through a ordeal and has to be partnered with a snowflake.

reply

A movie containing every cliché movie shot. But it's probably been done before.

reply

No doubt.

reply

Top Secret, Airplane, Tucker And Dale Vs. Evil, The Naked Gun, Hot Shots!

Yes, it's been done but a good parody is always welcome

My idea is about a futuristic amusement park where dinosaurs are brought to life through advanced cloning techniques. I call it "Billy and the Cloneasaurus".

I always thought it'd be fun to do a 80s style horror movie with kind of offbeat Coen brothers humor.

Unfortunately, I don't think I've got the talent, which is why I'm here instead of writing a screenplay. :)

A thriller about a couple who are unable to let go of their braindead child, so they opt for a brain transplant. However, things don't turn out the way they planned.
