List of things worse than covid 19

1) Stupidity
2) Negative and toxic comments towards covid.
3) Anti-vaxxers.
4) No-mask Karens

I know Didly-Doo about Covid and as I strictly avoid following The News and pay no attention to what ungodly nonsense is going on in the world at large I'll just identify the things I would really rather do without:

•Parking in The Bronx
•The waiter bringing my Reuben and Fries but NO Pickle, Cole Slaw or Russian Dressing as advertised on the menu
•Spending more than 15 minutes with a Brother In Law
•Anything to do with Oprah Winfrey or Bette Midler
•The second half of Season 3 of Sons Of Anarchy
•Candy Corn on Halloween
•Hollow chocolate Easter Bunnies
•Socks under the Christmas tree
•The damned Crickets that snuck into my garage last month...I've killed them all but one, he's like the John Rambo of annoying, chirpy insects, impossible to find and kill
•Dog messes that awful owners don't clean up as if people don't use the sidewalks

...hmm, probably many more, I'll think about it

I couldn't agree more on Oprah and Bette! They're both incredibly annoying!

Socks under the tree are the best!!!

I love socks at christmas so much that we even do a sock exchange.

reply

About crickets. They seem to have evolved the ability to make themselves impossible to find. No matter where you think it is --- when you go there --- it seems to be somewhere else.

Hate it when one gets in my house.

reply

Yes, annoying little critters

As far as Reubens go, I like when they include a juicy Jalapeno along with a cold beer. Russian dressing must be different than Thousand Island, I'll have to look that up. But yes, for me, discovering a great Reuben at a non-descript watering hole was one of the best times of my life.

You don't get a car!

reply

I hear you would have had to pay the taxes on those Oprah cars if you were given one🙄

reply

Socks at Christmas, the only time I get new socks!

reply

I guess we do have a couple of socks fans here😁

The people that are afraid of catching it and the hysterical response to it by both the politicians and the medical profession ( in Australia at least ).

reply

Maybe you need to volunteer on the front line and get a perspective on it

reply

I caught the virus back in the "first wave" in Melbourne in April. Even though it got into my lungs I took my chances with it at home on my own. So my perspective on it is first hand.

In my opinion the politicians and medicos have responded with a strategy that they hope will protect them first and foremost. The politicians don't want to get blamed for the problems the virus is causing and lose at the next election and the medicos don't want to get the virus and possibly lose their lives. They have no vaccine and no practical medications to treat it, all they have is the lock down which is strangling the economy with no end in sight.

They should lift the lock down and tell people they will have to take their chances at home because the medical system won't be able to cope with the number of infections. With a mortality rate of around 1% this virus is not as lethal as the scaremongering tactics would have you believe.

Yes a lot of people will die but as Trump pointed out it is what it is. All we are doing now is putting the pandemic in slow motion and drawing it out for no good reason.
