Actors who would make great directors.

Tom Cruise. He's worked with good directors and legendary ones: Kubrick, Spielberg, Scorsese, Paul Thomas Anderson, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Oliver Stone, Coppola, De Palma, Cameron Crowe, Doug Liman. He's probably picked up a few tricks.

Kate Winslet. A lot of directors talk about how she comes up with ideas on set that have been implemented in the films. She was also married to an Oscar winning director.

Matt Damon. He writes and produces and seems like a smart guy. I could see him behind the camera one day.
