Tom Hanks' name is now mud. From A-Lister to Z-Lister

Have you guys seen this?

Anytime there is a story on him or video, all the comments are 'He's a pedophile', 'he was on Epstein's Island', 'he's been accused of raping a 13 year old girl', 'he is part of pizzagate'.

It's quite shocking because as far as I know, none of this has been confirmed and in regards to Epstein's Island, I heard that was discredited.

He always struck me as a good guy so I don't think he would be one of them.

reply

"It's quite shocking because as far as I know, none of this has been confirmed and in regards to Epstein's Island, I heard that was discredited."

Which begs the question why are you continuing to perpetuate the misinformation by broadcasting it here?

You're so full of shit.

reply

He has an... uh, active imagination.

reply

It's all political just like PizzaGate was. The alt-right doesn't care about pedophilia and never has. It's just a means to smear anti-Trumpers. Trump has more connections to Epstein than most of the people on Maxwell's list. Where are the Youtube videos on that? Oh that's right. You can't grift by attacking the alt-right. Lefties will recognize your grift in a heartbeat and won't fork over revenue. You can only grift by attacking SJWs for their oh so corrosive diversity, and then cash-in by selling pills to alt-righties.

reply

It always comes around to Trump. I think Iā€™m going to start blaming everything in my everyday life on Trump too. Lol

reply

It's more about the alt-right and youtube algorithms.

reply

Sorry. I should never had replied.

reply

This guy sucks

reply

"It's just a means to smear anti-Trumpers."

So instead you used this thread as a means to smear the alt-right...

reply

Criticize, sure. That's not what smearing is. Smearing is when you call someone a pedophile when they are not. Criticizing someone's smears is not engaging in smears.

The alt-right either believes in PizzaGate lies or does it just for the laughs. If they are going to choose either of those paths to label someone as a pedophile, then what's not to criticize?

Be honest. I'd really like to know.

reply

More disingenuous crap and lies from a kook fringe, leftist wacko.

reply

Alt-right? LOL Always their fault! Never the left, who actually have pedophiles OPENLY protest with them.

reply

You imply there is a large amount of individuals on the left that are pedophiles, but you don't elaborate who they are.

That is the tactic popularized by Mike Cernovich and Roger Stone. It's where PizzaGate and qAnon came from.

That's what today's alt-right is all about, at least in its online form. It's the random accusation that anyone on the left is a pedophile.

reply

Well, Hollywood is liberal and the dirty secret is how prevalent pedophilia is in that industry. And has been for decades.

reply

If you were to actually delve into all the pedophiles in the country, yeah, you'd probably find a few Hollyweirds.

But you're gonna find a shit ton of catholic priests. And the alt-right doesn't want the full extent of that uncovered in the same breath.

Just like Gym Jordan didn't want his pedophile scandal uncovered. And that guy is still well-revered by Trumpers and the alt-right.

How that be? Hmmmmm....

reply

That's the problem, isn't it? Any person on the left is going to be shielded by the MSM. But any person perceived as being on the right will be amplified. Just as you are doing now. That's how you have been taught to think.

reply

Ahh, so the reason you can't name a leftist is because they are shielded?

And the reason I can name Jordan is because he's been amplified?

You are pathetic.

reply

Of course they are but I would be shocked if it wasn't widespread in Hollywood and among the powerful liberal elites. They indulge in every other bizarre behavior. Except traditional marriage, of course. You will get canceled if you support that.

reply

You wouldn't be shocked if you found out it wasn't widespread in Hollywood. You would shrug it off and say "oh well I try again tomorrow with another stupid conspiracy and hope it sticks dum dee dum dee dum."

Here's the real issue though. It's far more difficult to prove something isn't true than to prove it is true. That is why things are untrue by default until proven to be true.

But to a conspiracy brain, if it hasn't been proven untrue, then it's true if you like the way it makes you feel.

reply

Since liberals today seem to embrace everything contrary to 'tradition', why would anyone be shocked pedophilia is quietly rampant throughout it. Soon, it will be openly embraced, there will be protests and riots and looting in the name of 'equality' for pedophiles, who seek the same kind of recognition and acceptance as an alternative lifestyle others now 'enjoy', such as same sex marriage. The liberal umbrella is filled with such bizarre people.

reply

It won't be embraced. That's paranoia coming from your overactive amygdala which is what makes you more prone to fear. Conspiracy theories are often how people deal with it.

You are a right-winger because you scare easily. You could probably have this verified if you had a brain scan.

reply

Right, like same sex marriage wasn't embraced or transgenderism. There was a time, not that long ago, when liberals were not so fanatic about those, either. But now they are basically running the left. You dare say ANYTHING bad about them and they will try and ruin your life.

reply

Hanks has never struck me as a "good guy", but I'm not sure where these allegations come from.

reply

Lots and lots of pot smoking in Arkansas.

reply

Okay, but it seems so random. Did anything specific happen for them to target Hanks?

reply

Who knows? Philadelphia? The DaVinci Code? He had Coronavirus? He's the most recognizable star on the planet? He's a democrat?

Smoke filled rooms are a whole new meaning these days.

Some people still think Kris Kristofferson is actually a lizard.

reply

"Some people still think Kris Kristofferson is actually a lizard."

He is, though. Haven't you seen A Star is Born? Both he and Barbra are part of a secret race of reptilian aliens trying to take over the world.

reply

> Both [Kristofferson] and Barbra are part of a secret race of reptilian aliens trying to take over the world.

Don't know about Kristofferson, but about twenty-five years ago I did some stuff at a recording studio and got to know some of the people there. Streisand had just finished a project there. I didn't meet her; she was gone by the time I arrived. But I heard some things about her. The management described her as so wonderful to work with; so meticulous about her craft; not settling for anything less than perfection -- an inspiration!

I should say the management loved her. Sounds like she paid for a *lot* of billable hours. Read on ...

The recording engineers had a quite different opinion of her. Apparently she couldn't make up her mind. "Let's try it this way" -- then, "no, let's do it this other way" -- then, "let's try it the first way again" -- over and over. And when a mistake or problem occurred it was always somebody else's fault, never hers.

Now, does that make her a lizard? ... Yeah, sure. Why not? ;)

reply

I'm not really surprised to hear a story like that about her. She certainly seems to be very dedicated to her craft, but she also seems to have a huge ego.

I'm not a fan of her voice. I think it's very much possible she was sent by her home planet to come to Earth and destroy the human race with her singing. Somehow, things didn't go according to plan...

reply

> Hanks has never struck me as a "good guy"

I don't have much of an opinion one way or the other, but I'll toss this in:

Julie Salamon was given unlimited access to the filming of The Bonfire of the Vanities and wrote about her experiences. The book is The Devil's Candy: The Anatomy of a Hollywood Fiasco (ISBN 978-0306811234). Her project was originally intended to be simply an in-depth, behind the scenes look at how a movie is made. But then it became something else -- the story of how a great book gets turned into a lousy movie.

It's just one person's opinion, but from what she writes it sounds like Hanks is one of those rare celebrities who is pretty much as advertised. Friendly, approachable, chatting during breaks with not only fellow actors but also crew and extras. On the other hand, she didn't have very many nice things to say about Bruce Willis.

reply

That's professionally. Privately is a different matter. I can't say he comes across as a "good guy" in the way he acted during his first marriage.

reply

Yeah, I hear a lot of bad things about Bruce Willis. He really lives up all the negative stereotypes of a Hollywood star.

reply

> I hear a lot of bad things about Bruce Willis.

When the filmmakers hired him to do the movie, Willis's trademark was playing the likable rogue. But after working with him for a while, they realized that was about all he could do. They had to transform Peter Fallow -- a pretty despicable character in Tom Wolfe's novel -- into a likable rogue to accommodate Willis's limitations. Which meant redesigning some of the other character relationship and rewriting the script.

To be fair, that was thirty years ago. He might have gotten better since then.

> He really lives up all the negative stereotypes of a Hollywood star.

Willis took Salamon's criticism *very* personally. Here's something he said about her:

"I wish her the best. What I had hoped for her was that she became so famous that she had to start worrying about her life, that she had to start feeling that she was threatened, and then had to sleep with a gun by the bed every night because she thought that she was so famous someone was going to attack her or do something to her. And then one night she finally realized the sick life she was living, and she just put the gun in her mouth and blew her f... in' brains out."

Wow. Just ... wow.

reply

I'm confused. He's a pedophile to now?

Everyone has a douche bag at work...if your working that is.

reply

> I'm confused. He's a pedophile to now?

I never said anything about pedophilia. Did you reply to the wrong post?

reply

I do think Willis is a limited actor, but I can't help but be impressed with him in The Sixth Sense.

reply

That was his sorta comeback, right?

Get another 3-5 years...

I don't even think the film would have gotten a generous theatrical release had his name not been attached to the project.

reply

It could've been one of those small movies that become a sleeper hit through word-of-mouth. It actually kind of was, despite Willis' status.

reply

It was up against the Blair Witch Project at the height of Blair Witch mania.

It completely eradicated it...

The film wasn't expected to do anything more than 50 million (at best) and become another "White Noise".

reply

I'm reslly not surprised it did so well, I love it myself.

reply

His comeback was Pulp fiction. Also I think Demi wishes he took his cumback.

reply

He never struck me as any other guy than just a guy

reply

Has some proof of any of this been made public recently or something? I haven't seen any stories.

His career seems to be chugging right along. He was doing an Elvis movie when Covid hit.

reply

You know one day some moron on QAnon is going to do something horrific.

reply

No proof, but everyone seems to believe it. Very sad.

reply

If you are saying it is very sad that people are willing to believe something bad about someone with no evidence, yes, that is very sad.

reply

Kinda like how people like you still believe pizza and cheese were actual code words used by the FBI.

It happens because people just don't care enough about the truth.

And if you do your due diligence to find the absolute truth, you get accused by the conspiracy theorists as being part of the deep state.

reply

what's pizzagate ?

reply

Pizza is a code name the FBI use for pedophilia, but pizza-gate relates to a pizza shop in Washington DC that was linked to child trafficking. So the term is used specifically for that pizza shop scandal and pedophilia/child trafficking in general.

reply

Can someone direct me to the politics section? Oh...wait...

reply

OK thanks šŸ‘

reply

Intothenight's narrative has been thoroughly debunked. The FBI didn't use Pizza as a code for pedophilia.

Russia hacked the DNC servers in 2016 and Podesta's emails were released by Wikileaks. Reddit used those emails to concoct a conspiracy regarding Podesta's friend's pizzeria called Comet Ping Pong. In a couple emails, Podesta was arranging a meet-up at the pizzeria.

I forget the exact details, but Reddit said something like pizza was code for girl and cheese was code for boy. Reddit also made it up that the symbols on the menu were known by the FBI as pedophile symbols. This was another lie.

What disappoints me the most is that people like Intothenight are more concerned about carrying the water for the conspiracy theorists than they are for the truth.

reply

i know i shouldnt get into this... but... i enjoy reading wikileaks/leaked emails. so i was there when pizzagate started. basically......

Pizzagate was from John Podesta's (hillary campaign manager) leaked emails in 2016. in several emails the word "pizza" was used out of context.
example from an email: "I think it has a map that seems pizza-related"
it was obvious that "pizza" was code for something. that was it... that was pizzagate.

then someone found urban dictionary 2010 posting that C.heese P.izza is slang for C.hild P.ornography and it spins out of control from there.

the pizza shop you mentioned was owned by a boyfriend of a democrat billionaire both were contacts in the podesta emails, his instagram was littered with weird stuff like this:
https://archive.fo/mKH6M

and the conspiracy theories fly from there.

reply

there's a hipsterish pizza place in Washington D.C. where some weird, performance art shows have gone on, some of which did get kind of creepy. I think the owners are connected with Democratic politicians too.

There were a few other scraps of evidence that some of the more extreme right wingers were weaving into this child trafficking, pedophilia ring theory. John Podesta's brother has a lot of bizarre, transgressive art in his home, some of it featuring naked children and teens. There was a leak of Podesta's e-mails and a couple of them did seem to be a code for something, using words like pizza in ways that made no sense if taken literally.

There were a few other things, I think. Nothing that would amount to really solid proof of anything, other than the Podestas are into some weird stuff. I don't think it's unusual for people on the far left to be into that kind of art, though, that's kind of avante garde and goes past the boundaries of what a lot of people find acceptable.

reply

I think there's a politically motivated smear campaign going on, and Hanks isn't the only one getting dogged.

BTW I've been hearing some gossip about him over the years, most of it about heavy drinking out of the public eye, showing a nasty temper while drunk, and having affairs with adult actresses.

reply

his Instagram is very very weird and doesn't help his cause at all. the dude might not be a pedo 100 percent but he is def fucked up a bit and might be

reply

His instagram is probably the weirdest one I've seen from a celeb. It's not funny or cute or whatever photographing gloves on the roadside. Completely weird.

reply

it is very unsettling, something dark is going on idk why he would advertise his weirdness to the world like that
