Pets names

what's your pets name and what do you actually call it?

My cat wa a rescue and was named Harley Quinn. I just shortened it to Harley.

However, I do also call her Miss Quinn at times, or 'harleyquinnnnn' in an annoying tone when trying to get her attention.

Princess or little swine also appear depending on her behaviour lol.

She answers to all the above 😸

I think Tulip and Noodles are great names.

I have cat named Cali which she responds to even though most of the time I call her kitty.

I often defaulted to kitty or puppy for past pets even though they have names.

Never had a pet on my own, growing up our family pets were

Ciao - pug dog
China - black cat

Our husky is named Domino, though we did not choose that name for him. The organization that rescued him did. I'm guessing it's because, like many huskies, he's black and white. It's a little odd, because it's not usually recommended to give a pet a name with more than 2 syllables, but it works for him. He also responds to "doggy" or "dog" at times, but it's not an official nickname we give him. Like all our dogs, I gave him a ton of nicknames, such as:

"soft ears"
"my sweet pup"
"silly pup"
"silly doggy"
"silly furball"
"Mr. Fluffball"
"Sir Sniffs-a-Lot," "Sir Begs-a-Lot," "Sir Snoozes-a-Lot"
"my little squish-ball"
"piggy doggy"
"pig with fur"
"you laaaazy doggy"
"Mr. Pine-and-Mope"

Dad, of course, has his own nicknames for all our dogs, hehe. He has called all our recent dogs "stinky doggy," which I originally thought was insulting, but it turned out, it was a silly form of affection from him. He also added onto my "Lancelot" names by calling Domino "Sir Stinks-a-Lot" lol xD We even sing songs about him to be funny ;).

Our cat is named Berlioz after the kitten from "Aristocats".

That's too French for most people in Sweden though, so he mostly goes by "Berra".

My cat's name is Ruthanne. She answers to all her 10 or more nicknames, which include: Kitty Girl, Buddy Girl, Shweetie, Stinker, Bitty, Speed Ruthie(for the zoomies), Ruthmeister, Toothie, Sneezy, Sniffles, Snotnose and Kermit.

She's allergic to a bunch of stuff, so she gets fitting names.

reply

I had never known that cats can have allergies too.
But it makes sense that they would get similar afflictions as humans.
Take good care of your little girl!

I had a turtle when I was a kid, and his name was "Rock".

Did you ever sit between Rock and a hard place?
