Double Features You'd Like To See

Earlier today Laura Grace and I wound up chatting about movies that would pair well in a DF, in our case the obsessed stalker sub genre of thrillers

We came up with Fatal Attraction+Basic Instinct and Fear+Enough

Pair two movies into a double feature you would like to see

I'd spend four hours at the theater to see Christine (83)+Maximum Overdrive(86)

Stephen King, Killer machines, 80s goofiness...What's not to love?

Can you think of some?

reply

Colors, 1989 and Blood in Blood Out, 1993

reply

Rosemary's baby and Demon Seed

I once watched all four Psycho movies in sequence -- the ones with Anthony Perkins, not the others. That's a pair of doubleheaders.

If you're vulnerable to the same sort of retrocrushes I am, here's another idea -- Breakfast At Tiffanys (1961) and My Fair Lady (1964).

A Psycho marathon would be great on a blizzard day when you're stormed in👍

For ColumboKate who digs the obsessed stalker flix, a DF about scary young women...

Swimfan(02)+The Crush(93)

reply

😊 thank you. I don't think I've seen either.

They pretty much follow the stalker/thriller formula

Great thread 👏

I'd go with Fatal Attraction and Pacific Heights.

reply

Hell yes Shogun. If they played maximum Overdrive and Christine retro double feature I would go for sure!

This is the kind of double The Alamo did a lot of (before the lockdown)
Do you have an Alamo Drafthouse near you? Great place for a nosh, a pitcher of beer and some fun old movies

reply

I’m in Louisiana and the closest one is in TX. damn backwards place I live in. Lol

reply

Yeah, there aren't too many out there maybe a dozen

Hopefully they expand
