What’s the best Judd Apatow produced movie?

Here’s all the movies Judd Apatow’s production company, Apatow Productions, has produced:
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)
The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005)
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006)
Knocked Up (2007)
Superbad (2007)
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007)
Drillbit Taylor (2008)
Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008)
Pineapple Express (2008)
Step Brothers (2008)
Year One (2009)
Funny People (2009)
Get Him to the Greek (2010)
Bridesmaids (2011)
Wanderlust (2012)
The Five-Year Engagement (2012)
This is 40 (2012)
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)
Begin Again (2014)
Trainwreck (2014)
Pee-wee's Big Holiday (2016)
Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016)
The Big Sick (2017)
Juliet, Naked (2018)
The King of Staten Island (2020)

I’ll have to say Superbad is my favorite, with Walk Hard in second and Popstar in third, though Knocked Up and Talladega Nights are very very funny movies.

As for the worst, I gotta go with Year One, although Bridesmaids was the most disappointing.

Thanks bro, I’ve actually been a lurker here for like 3 years but only started posting after I found out general discussion exists. I swear more people would be on this site if some of the other stuff was bigger on the front page.

Anchorman’s a good choice. Probably will ferrell’s best performance.

SO...BASICALLY YOU JUST LISTED ALL MY FAVORITE MODERN COMEDIES...PINEAPPLE EXPRESS IS TOP FIVE ALL TIME ALL GENRES FOR ME...9 OR 10 OUT OF 10 FOR ALMOST THE ENTIRE LIST...WOULD BE EASIER TO LIST THE ONES I DONT ADORE...

YEAR ONE IS HALF GREAT HALF TURD.

WANDERLUST IS TOO BROAD.

TRAINWRECK IS WAY BETTER THAN IT SHOULD BE...SCHUMER IS ALMOST TOLERABLE.

THAT GAY PEE WEE MOVIE DISTURBED MY DAUGHTER AND I.

THE REST ARE ESSENTIAL GOLD IN MY EYES...OK MAYBE ANCHORMAN 2 IS STUPID...BUT ITS STILL FUNNY.

40 Year Old Virgin. Something about it felt fresh when it came out, different from the usual frat pack comedies of the time, but also at its core was a feel-good story that gave hope to people who felt like losers. It also cleverly satirized taboos about sex and relationship frustration in a way that didn’t seem condescending. The movie has a lot of heart.
