Have you ever spoken out when people don’t discipline their disruptive, obnoxious children in public?

I was just at Bdubs enjoying my lunch and this table next to me was a 30 something chick and her two heathens and the daughter, who looked like honey boo boo was one of the worst behaved children I’ve ever seen. She was banging on the table, yelling and making nonstop noise the entire time I was there. The mom only occasionally and very passively subdued her, I wanted to punch her in the face. I glared in her direction every time it got really loud and strongly considered saying something.

This is nothing new, and happens almost everywhere I go. Honestly people of all ages behave this way in public, being as loud as they want with no consideration for anyone around them. But with parents I have zero tolerance for not at least attempting to controll your child or hold them accountable. They mostly just ignore it and let them disrupt everyone around them, it’s infuriating. Yet only 5 star restaurants will say anything without their hand being forced, it’s ridiculous.

SO....YOU HATE WOMEN AND CHILDREN?

reply

I don’t hate women

reply

ONLY THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE RIGHTS AND CAN THINK FOR THEMSELVES THEN.🙂

reply

I just turn to the kids and yell "BEHAVE OR I WILL MAKE YOU WATCH THE IRISHMAN!" they shut up real quick. You can see the terror in their eyes.

reply

😄

reply

Haha

reply

Not sure what you mean, the Irishman got rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. Good one though!

reply

Haha. The supreme Court of the United States would rule that as cruel and unusual punishment - I know I felt torture after watching that piece of shit, but then again I'll watch anything about Jimmy Hoffa who is one of the few non-artistic heroes of mine

reply

🤣🤣🤣👍

reply

YOU SAY THAT SHIT TO MY KID AND IM GONNA KILL YOU...THATS CHILD ABUSE...THAT MOVIE SUCKS.🙂

reply

When I see children being obnoxious, I spank their bare bottoms and it makes me feel better.

reply

CREEPY🙄

reply

Sounds like you need a spanking, you naughty boy.

reply

😳🤗

I have never heard of "Bdubs" so I had to look it up. Are you referring to Buffalo Wild Wings? That explains a lot. Those types of restaurants are notorious for noise.

Music and TVs blasting, loud conversations, shouting and obnoxious laughing... all sorts of rude behavior and lack of manners.
And I'm talking about the adults.

That's why I avoid those kinds of restaurants.

reply

Yes Buffalo Wild Wings, regional nickname. Loud idiots are not exclusive to sports bars, however. I experience this almost every time I go in public, it’s the real plague.

reply

WAIT...YOU GO TO BUFFALO WILD WINGS SO OFTEN THAT YOU CALL IT "BDUBS"?...DO YOU WEAR CROCS AND A VISER HAT TURNED SIDEWAYS?

reply

Don't forget he's on a first name basis with the staff at Spencer's.

reply

The only times I have ever said anything are when I'm sitting at a booth and a kid is hanging over the top or the same thing on a plane. I ask them to please sit down and not hang all over me.

Honestly, I would prefer to not sit next to a family with young children and I have asked for another table if it looks like I'm going to be seated near one.

reply

I wanted sooooo bad to do that as a kid, but mom always hushed me up and threatened to discipline me if I embarrassed her and dad at wherever this incident was occurring.

Apparently it is taboo in modern society to lecture other people on how to raise their kids, even if they are bad at it. It's especially bad if you aren't a parent yourself. It's soooo tempting to yell at them about it, but you know you can't because it'll make you look bad instead of them. I really hate that.

There actually was a time in our society (before the 1970s/80s) that parents were allowed to discipline their kids in public. Nobody called the cops on them because other adults agreed with what happened. The kid was being a brat, and got what they deserved. Suddenly, in the 70s and 80s, you got people (usually old maids and gay men) who were probably abused as kids, who never raised a child themselves, calling the cops on these parents as a sort of revenge they never could have on their own parents, mostly because they are too stupid to tell the difference between discipline and abuse.

Now, you have terrible parents who are too terrified of being seen as the enemy of their kids, or they're too stupid/lazy to know what to do and let their kids get away with everything; and good parents who are too terrified to discipline their kids in public for fear of their kids getting taken away and going to jail. Just goes to show how far our society has fallen.

Do you ever engage your brain before you go off on one of your offensive tirades? Old maids and gay men indeed. I have never met a gay man who has a strong opinion on the discipline of children unless they have children of their own. Stop spreading ill-informed lies.

You really hate gay people don't you? Sad.

reply

Unfortunately Tim, you have to accept that there are uninformed people on this planet.

reply

Totally accept that my friend, but a little less accepting of those who use any old topic as a segue to blaming the homos.

Of course it's the gays who are responsible for straight parents not disciplining their children properly. How could there be any other explanation??

MY DAUGHTER IS MY BEST FRIEND...WE SPEND ENDLESS TIME TOGETHER...HOWEVER,SHE IS EXPECTED TO BEHAVE CORRECTLY AND GETS SCOLDED,EVEN IN PUBLIC...I HAVE HAD THE POLICE CALLED ON ME THREE TIMES!...EACH TIME ITS THE SAME...A SHORT CONVERSATION WITH ME...THEN WITH MY DAUGHTER ALONE...THEN THEY LEAVE...THE WORLD NOW SUCKS.

reply

It must be the same people who call the cops when black people are doing normal activities.

Call to 911: Please hurry, my black neighbor is mowing the lawn. Omg, he raised his hand. His hand is open in a friendly gesture...ARGH...!!!

reply

You should engage the children in conversation:

1. What is your favorite dipping sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings?

2. Ask them if they like popcorn. Do they get it in bags in the chips section of grocery stores? Or is it microwave popcorn? Only at a movie theater? Is microwave popcorn too buttery for them?

3. Do they live in an apartment? Are upstairs neighbors stomping around constantly?

4. Do people talk loudly outside of your apartment/house?

5. Which do you prefer: superhero movies, Spongebob Squarepants or PAW Patrol?

6. Isn't it crazy that most of what we eat and drink would be considered poison by most health experts?

7. Have you ever spoken out when people don’t discipline their disruptive, obnoxious children in public?

reply

8. Do you know what do do if you are about to sneeze? I sneeze in my elbow. Do you think someone should get a ticket, if they don't have a mask and they don't sneeze into their elbow? Or should you get to hit them?

reply

The answer to all these involves punching in Moviebluff’s universe.

reply

Did the kids cock block you or something?

reply

Zing!
