Two guys who I thought died 5 times and then when they did die I didn't believe it.

wilford brimley

reply

He was old in Cocoon which is about old people.

reply

brimley was 50 years, 9 months and 6 days old when cocoon was released, as all the memes have famously stated.

i'm crossing the brimley/cocoon line next saturday. i'm weirdly excited by that, for some reason. i even have an appointment set in my calendar in case it slips my mind.

Hard to believe Brimley was only a couple of years older than me when he did the Thing.

reply

Y.A. Tittle....not really an actor, but he was in Any Given Sunday (1999)

reply

No idea who that is, but that's a great name.

reply

Tommy Lee Jones

reply

Yes he's the first one that comes to mind.

reply

Rodney Dangerfield.

reply

Richard Gere.

reply

Jimmy Stewart sounded like a quavering voiced 90 year old when he was 20, but was normal as far as looks go.

reply

He always sounded old and looked older than the roles he was playing. Stuart looks like he's at least 45 in It's A Wonderful Life but he's playing a guy trying to run off to college through much of the movie. And even in the older scenes he's supposed to be what? Early 30s at the oldest?

reply

He always looked like he was old enough to play the father of a 20-year-old.

Sean Connery was only 32 years old in this promotional picture for his first James Bond role (Dr. No) in 1962 - https://townsquare.media/site/442/files/2012/09/Dr.No_.Sean-Connery.jpg - though he looks more like 50.

reply

Definitely doesn't look 32. I'd say mid-to-late 40s if you just showed me the picture.

reply

He looks older than 32 here. He's also looked 70 the past 30 years.
