Do you think directors watch their own movies and go, "Man, I'm so brilliant!"?

I can think of someone like Tarantino doing this.

Alan Smithee?

reply

Wouldn't it be the opposite? It's more like, "this piece of crap wasn't the film I wanted."

reply

I always looked at it as, “wow, some jerkoff Hollywood douchebag with an ego ditched this film, now they use my name and I didn’t have to do a damn thing and my filmography kept growing until the year 2000....I’m fucking brilliant!”

“Wait, on second thought, maybe not...can’t I get paid?”

reply

Some, sure.

I do it with myself. Man, I'm so brilliant!

reply

Are you artistic or do you mean everyday stuff like random ideas?

reply

Honestly, both. Lol. I am full of myself.

reply

Some do, I'm sure.

But Michael Bay has to sit there and think "Sure, it's a piece of shit, but it'll sell!". Nothing else explains his films.

reply

But maybe Michael Bay actually thinks he's making good movies. That's a scary thought.

reply

He couldn't possibly think he's making good movies. How could he!

reply

HE THINKS LIKE A 14 YEAR OLD.

reply

Pain & gain was pretty good.

reply

Spielberg probably does.

reply

I'm 100% convinced Marty Scorsese does.

reply

I believe Spike Lee does.

reply

I like some of his films, but you’re probably right....

reply

He probably has watch parties at his house and does a full on commentary and everyone gets annoyed.

reply

Zack Snyder for sure.

reply

SCORSESE DEFINITELY DOES.🙂
