What was the last movies you bought a digital copy of?

Today, I bought some movie on iTunes. I bought:

Deadly Manor
Jesus Shows You the Way to the Highway
Killer Nun
Microwave Massacre
Ringu
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
The Swinging Cheerleaders

What about you?

reply

I spend most of my money on booze, gasoline and cigarettes so I cheap out and mainly stream free stuff

Killer Nun and Microwave Massacre are really good silly movies

Enjoy Amigo😬

reply

I never purchase digital copies but I do approve of Microwave Massacre. I still can’t believe Frosty the Snowman would do such things. 😀

reply

I only buy digital copies. I have gone "discless." No CDs. No DVDs. I buy more music than movies. Having said that, my last few movie purchases (not rentals) were

Dominick Dunne: After The Party (2009)
Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines (1965)
Enter the Dragon (1973)
Passengers (2016)
Trading Places (1983)

reply

Enter The Dragon and Trading Places should be shown in every film class everywhere!

reply

I agree with you!

reply

Thanks!
John Saxon deserves more fame and Eddie Murphy is just an obvious draw👍

reply

EDDIE WASNT THE OBVIOUS "DRAWS" I WAS THINKING ABOUT🙂

I might buy Planet of the Apes next.

reply

Good movie. I have it on blu ray.

reply

Great picks!

reply

I'll be honest and admit I've never bought a digital movie.

I'm so old school. Although I stream lots of stuff, if I want to own a film or TV show I'll buy the DVD. Something about holding a physical copy and having it to display in my collection that gives me a feeling of ownership that I can't imagine getting from a digital file.

reply

I usually prefer having a physical copy, but sometimes a movie is hard to find in stores or the physical copy is a lot more . How many dvds do you have?

reply

It's been a while since I did a count but I'd say between 5 and 6 hundred.

reply

Cool. Are they all on bookshelves or do you store them somewhere else?

reply

Yeah all shelved in a display cabinet. Arranged alphabetically, of course ;)

It's a pretty small collection compared to some I've seen but it's a work in progress. I've recently discovered this place:

https://au.webuy.com/

where most DVDs are under $5, so I might be reporting back about a big haul soon.

reply

That's cool. My movies are arranged alphabetically too, but some of the more recent pickups have not been properly shelved yet. I have 7 shelves and 2 lockers with movies in them. I have a mix of Blu-ray and dvd.

reply

Nice. Sounds like you have an impressive collection there.

reply

TOOK ME OVER A WEEK TO ALPHABEETIZE MY COLLECTION LAST TIME...THAT WAS ALMOST 8 YEARS AGO...I BET IT WOULD TAKE 2 WEEKS NOW.

reply

Crossword Mysteries..A Puzzle to Die for with Lacey Chabert.. Some lifetime movie fun on a Sunday morning.

reply

Cool.

reply

Lacey Chabert! One of my faves.

I usually don't buy digital movies unless they are comboed with physical media.

I came across a Peanuts 2-movie collection featuring 'Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown' and Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown' a while back. Thanks for jogging my memory. Now I'm excited to see them!

The movies on your list sound intriguing.

Same here. Out of them, which one's your favorite? By a slim margin, it's 'Happy Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown' for me simply because I feel it shows off the relationship between the gang very well, especially Snoopy and Woodstock. Now who doesn't love those two? They have great chemistry together.

My favourite is A Charlie Brown Christmas.
