Cadillacs age terribly.

I've been putting in Cadillac and various years into Google images and I can't believe how ugly these cars are.

How did this business stay in business?

I feel like I'm looking at Homers car design in the Simpsons.

reply

They've been coasting on their name and reputation for decades now. I still hope to own an old school restored Caddy one day. Them early days were something else.

reply

Hell yeah!
Old school Caddies are beautiful but man will they break the bank if in fine condition!

reply

Specifically what years do you consider ugly? I think they got very cool looking about 8 years ago.

reply

Probably early 2000s Cadillac. They are indeed awful looking now.

reply

Not really ugly, IMO - just that they look like an old persons car.

Thoughts?

reply

Just remove the silly spare tires and it looks fine.

reply

Just a pimped out car - not really what an average Cadillac looked like.

reply

That's the original design

reply

"Custom built by Global Coach in Orlando Florida" - Sounds like an aftermarket modification to me

reply

No it's not, 84 Seville Opera. Google image that. They all have the tire thingo.

reply

Looks like a car a Mafia dude would get into and get carried out of😳

reply

Crazy they people liked a tire on the side of their car.

reply

That was a very stupid looking feature...That 'look' can't have lasted more than a couple of model years

reply

In the 80s they lost all their unique styling, but they were still huge rectangles of steel barreling down the road. In the 90s is when they got really ugly. Now they just look like every other car on the road.

reply

Well this car is beyond unique, in a bad way. http://topclassiccarsforsale.com/cadillac/135361-1983-cadillac-eldorado-el-ballero-80k-original-miles-custom-global-coach-limo.html

reply

golly, that's something. I kinda like it. needs a couple chandeliers mounted up front.

reply

Why does it have a landau bar? The curvy S shaped thing that you see on hearses?

reply

80s to early 2000s. Thankfully they decided to change the shape.

The two door cars, because they're smaller, actually look much better, like the Eldorado.

Otherwise they're just crazy looking.

I would take that blue one in a heartbeat.

The baby blue is excellent. My fave is the red convertible.

I would start talking like Joe Pesci every
time I got in one of those cars😆

Feech La Manna in his Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Classic.

No doubt they had a golden age. Elvis certainly made them iconic with his love for cadelliac.

reply

The National Automobile here in Reno has one of Elvis's Cadillacs.

reply

With Elvis, a very flamboyant man (in a straight way), Cadillacs suited him. He also had a Blackhawk Stutz, which again, is a flamboyant car, that suited him. It wouldn’t suit me however.

reply

Very cool.

reply

Tunes and tooling along the highway in this...nice thought.
