Who has actually been to a real honest to god movie lately ?

I have not and will not be going for a long time because of the Novel CoronaVirus.

SAME

If you're not going now, when?

Right now it's summer, it's the best moment. It'll be much worse during the winter.

reply

Maybe summer next year.

reply

Well, this summer I'll be watching Tenet, that's sure. Other ones? no idea.

I really want to see it on the IMAX but if they require masks while watching the film I will take a pass. I don’t have a problem in general with wearing a mask but it would make it difficult to enjoy watching a two hour movie with my glasses fogging up. I usually go on days and times where the theater is empty anyway.

I havent been to the cinema since 1995, but i did watch a real honest to god movie the other night, it had Anthony Hopkins in it :)
{edit}
it was 2005, it turns out

reply

What movie was it...in 1995?

reply

it was The Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy, starring that hobbit

reply

reply

Transformers has Anthony Hopkins in it.

reply

LMAO...ITS HIS BEST ROLE TOO🙂

reply

What, no date night for you and Mod 3 anymore???

I probably won't be to the movies till the next Fast film comes out. And i'll probably sit there in a mask the whole time. I want to see Craig's final woke disaster of a Bond film, but i'm not risking my family's health on that bullshit.

The movie theater is still closed here, but I'm planning on going as soon as it reopens. The last movie I saw in the theater was Onward shortly after it came out.

reply

Yep I have been eagerly waiting the reopening of mine. I'll wear a mask in lobby but once I'm in the theater I'll be resuming my continually eating popcorn routine as I did before shit hit the fan.
I likely had covid in January and it's important to me to support theaters and other things I cherish to at least give them a fighting chance for survival. I'm going bowling today which will be fun.

The better theater near me opened today. We are going to go see either Matrix or Back to the Future there tomorrow. Thank God they added some classics to the line up. The newer offerings they have are terrible. Would have gone last week to the first theater that opened around here but all they had was the Harry Potter movies.

I will catch nothing. I never do. Mine is the constitution of iron.
Things only get better because we participate in making them better.

Not since late winter for me
They shuttered nearly everything here except gas stations, liquor stores and grocery shops

I find it telling and wildly funny that liquor stores are considered 'essential' but I'm not complaining!
