MLB is looking more promising

All has been approved for a July start - now it's all up to the players - keeping fingers crossed.

we will know at 5 pm

still no word. mlb network is replaying the expos/dodgers nlcs.

reply

It'd be nice if it actually happens.

reply

Idk I guess it’d be cool to see some baseball but as a Brewers fan I wouldn’t want them to win the World Series this year, it wouldn’t be as special.

reply

why not? if they're your team, you root for them to win any game they play. sure, there'd be an asterisk but winning is always better than losing.

reply

"sure, there'd be an asterisk"- you answered your own question lol.

reply

There wouldn't be an asterik. All teams would play by the same rules.

reply

"but winning is always better than losing."

you left out the rest lol

who wants their team to lose any game they play?

like you'd be rooting for the other team lol

Yes! Finally.

YES!!!!!

Does anyone know what the attendance permissions will be? I'm a Reds fan and because we have sucked for years you could say we the fans have been practicing social distancing since 2014 lol.

But I have a feeling people around the country are dying for anything to do, if baseball allows it there will be tons of sellouts this year in my view.

So funny! I live in Cincinnati and my step-daughter lives on the river directly across from the stadium. We occasionally go down and watch the Friday night fireworks from her front yard. You can see right into the stadium and most of the time it's really empty, but I think you are right - there will be more people this year. They were talking about this on the news last night and I don't think any decisions have been made.

reply

Wow your stepdaughter is in a great location!

Does she live in KY?

I love the Queen City. When you are approaching it on I-75 from Kentucky and you go around "the turn"...
Bam... No indication at all you are that close to Cincinnati and then all of the sudden you see the entire skyline.

And The Banks has really beautified the space between Great American Ballpark and Paul Brown Stadium.

And yeah since there is a legitimate chance for a good year with all of the new players the Reds signed I think fan interest is the highest it's been in years.

I plan on driving down to Ft.Wayne for at least 4 or 5 games.

reply

I think you are the person who had opening day tickets - correct? Good luck getting to see a few games this summer.

Yes, she lives in Covington in one of the huge old houses that have been converted into condos. It's very cool.

reply

Yep that was me. Got the opening day tickets on stub hub, and used the credit to get amazing Bengals seats instead. I had high up nose bleed seats for Reds Opening Day and for the same price got amazing Bengals tickets instead. Shows u how huge Opening Day is in Nati.

I will for sure be down for Reds games. U ever go? Or do u just listen and sort of watch from your stepdaughters place?

That's awesome and I know exactly where u are talking about! Yeah she has a great view of downtown and the Ohio River. If I lived there I'd spend every night sipping beer and watching the riverboats go by. Must be sweet!

reply

We sit on her front porch and watch the game on TV - LOL.
