Harry Chapin - Cats In The Cradle https://youtu.be/_QX_1mOMXHo

Kind of a sad song but it resonated with me after my father deserted me when I was 8 years old. The only way I found out my father died was when I looked up his IMDb page and it showed he'd had died a few years ago. Even though I never got to know my father it's still saddened me when he died.

That's too bad, I'm sorry to hear about that. Was your dad an actor?

reply

He did some acting but he was mostly a famous stuntman. He stunted in numerous John Wayne movies and many others. Here is his IMDb page if you're curious. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0121551/

reply

He was certainly involved with some classic movies and tv shows, that is an impressive list.

I'm sorry for your loss.

reply

Thank you. I appreciate your condolences.

My dad likes "Cat's in the Cradle" or something like that. I'm more of a "Butterfly Kisses" kinda girl. That song was so sweet and emotional, it made me cry the first time I heard it at age 12. I want to play it at my wedding reception, when dad and I are doing the Father-Daughter Dance.

reply

I like Cat's in the Cradle as well. Butterfly Kisses is such sweet song.
