Camping folk - rolling coolers or handles?
Advantages and disadvantages? I found a Coleman I really like but it is not on wheels, is this necessary and will I regret it? Thanks!

shareI have a large green rubbermaid on wheels that's fine to hump into your camping or fishing area if you are dealing with fairly level ground
I have 2 smaller coleman coolers that are handle carry and work
better for rough terrain if you are headed deep into the brush
Yeah that’s what I was thinking rolling is really only effective if you’re on level ground. Thanks mate! Went w the one I liked. This is it - https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Xtreme-Portable-Cooler-Quart/dp/B00AU6GB2K
shareNice!
They last for decades, I've had my three for about 20 years
You will regret it. Load it up and you will strain your back. Get one with wheels. They are much easier to move when loaded.
I picked up a free used Coleman with wheels AND a drain plug. I know someone who fills them with ice, which melt into water. If you pop off the drain plug, the water flows out, so you don't have to dump it with stuff still inside it.
What if it’s uneven terrain?
shareDepends on the sort of campground you favor. Think about your favorite campgrounds, is the ground there smooth enough to drag a wheeled cooler across?
So if you do get one with wheeled, make sure it's easy to carry. Because when camping, you always end up carrying stuff sometimes.
Are you tent camping or RV style?
shareGreat question. Tent camping one with handles. RV camping one with wheels.
