Anyone wished Tarantino kept making movies like reservoir dogs and pulp fiction?

I wished he stayed in the crime genre instead of stuff like ingl basterds and kill bill. Even jackie brown doesn't feel right since it's based on a book.

I've enjoyed his career trajectory immensely though I do think some of his films are overly long (Django, Hateful 8)

reply

THATS FAIR...I AGREE.

reply

The Hateful Eight... or more like The Hateful Eight Hours of People Talking!!!!

reply

Yep, I loved the acting but boy could that have used a 30 minute chop job!

reply

The Hateful Two would be ideal.

JACKIE BROWN IS ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE TARANTINO FILM.

reply

Inglorious Basterds is better than Pulp Fiction.

reply

I think Once Upon.. Is his best and The only QT movie I've rated 10/10. I do really like some of his other movies too. But there's some stinkers too.

reply

I started to enjoy his films less starting with Django and then hitting rock bottom with Hateful Eight. Everything before those I absolutely loved, including Death Proof who most dislike. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was great.

reply

I wish he had stayed working at the video store.

reply

He’s certainly enriched more lives during his current profession.

reply

Big tipper is he ?

reply

He doesn't necessarily have to do crime, but he does seem to suck at other genres.

Nothing wrong with Jackie Brown, it's one of his best movies. I actually think his earlier movies show Tarantino has to rely heavily on other sources or writers to make a good movie.

reply

not me. i'm glad he moved on and, while i haven't liked everything he's done, and i wish he'd keep his running times under control, i'm always interested in whatever he gets up to.

basterds & once upon a time... are my favourite tarantino films.
