I witnessed the spaceflight today, and they had a view of Earth as the rocket left the surface. Man, Earth is beautiful from space!

That's unfortunately true. Hopefully people who viewed the spaceflight will have a different perspective of Earth now....

No it is not. End all life on earth. Make earth as desolate as mars is. There used to be life on mars billions of years ago. Aliens used to live there. It all ended with one cataclysmic event.
