The Lion King (1994 )

Yesterday I re watched the original version of the lion king and wooow it’s still a really good movie.

The music is incredible, the voice acting impecable and the drawings are top notch.

The jokes still made me laugh and Scar is definitely the best Disney Villain. What a beautiful film.

We 90s kids grew up with the best animated films. Disney’s renaissance the best period of time for animated movies.
We all who grew up with The little mermaid, beauty and the beat, The Lion King, Aladdin and Hercules we were blesssed with the best animated films

I grew up in the 80s and we all loved the puppetry shows and movies like The Dark Crystal, Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas, The Muppets and Fraggle Rock

I tried to show my kids these classics when they were young and they really didn't care for them!
Gotta wonder if 'kids these days' don't appreciate great puppetry anymore

reply

My niece and nephew didn't really care for Fraggle Rock. I was disappointed to say the least. They did like the Neverending Story though so I will try The Dark Crystal with them the next time I see them.

Now that you mention it my kids didn't like The Neverending Story all that much either...
What kind of people am I raising here!?!😂

reply

Lol!!! Did they like The Goonies?

reply

They liked Goonies and Gremlins so there still is hope for them being normal humans😆

Good job!

I rewatched The Lion King maybe more than 50 times.

reply

Well when I was a kid i watched it like a thousand times.almost knowing the dialogue by memory but it’s my first time re watching this film as an adult and it’s surprising how well it holds up

reply

Oh it holds up very well. Better than Toy Story, better than Beauty and the Beast, and way way better than Aladdin.

reply

Yes it does. Its like time never passed on this film and 2D animation is better than 3D animation

reply

It's a classic.
