The price to rent/download digital movies is astronomical!

I don’t understand why a product that is just a downloadable file is so much.

For example, on iTunes Australia, newest release movies are $34.99 to download.

Cheaper movies can be $14.99/$17.99 to own or $4.99/$7.99 to rent.

Depends on how new or definition.

Personally I’d prefer a disc for those prices.

I think the future of digital downloads should be $2-$5 to rent and no more than $9 to own.

That does sounds expensive. In Canada a brand new release that is not on sale could be as much as $24.99 to buy or 6.99 to rent in the iTunes store. Often iTunes will have sales and you can buy movies for anywhere from 4.99-9.99. They have some movie rentals starting at 99 cents. I usually wait until the movie is on sales before I buy it from the iTunes store.

Renting a movie on Bell Fibe is, like, $7.99. That's ridiculous.

If I wanted to buy Joker on YouTube, it's would be $24.99. That seems extremely expensive to buy a movie that I can only watch on YouTube.

Try older movies, they are cheaper.

I just buy discs or pirate.

You wouldn't download a car, would you? Piracy is a crime.

I like to pick up digital titles here.

This is why I miss showbox 😭

Just wait until they close down the pirate websites and stop making DVD and Blu-rays. Then they will have us by the balls and can charge what they like for their streaming "services".
