I’ve even worked a Queen concert.
I just don’t get the hype. The Beatles is a hyped band where I get the love. Their songs are magical.
They're not really my favorite band, but I do like some of their songs and understand why they became so successful.
Freddy Mercury was really an awesome performer too. One of those stars, who had to die too soon.

shareI'm opposite to your opinion. I've never understood the hype for The Beatles. I like a few of their songs but yeah.
I really like Freddie's voice and think there are few who can compare.
I agree with Queen today is more of a tribute. I love Adam Lambert's voice, but he doesn't try to copy Freddie, because he isn't Freddie. He's even said that he had no interest in recording new music with them because it would no longer be Queen. That's why it's Queen with Adam Lambert and not just Queen.
I appreciate that you aren't a fan. There are many music groups out there that I don't get the popularity of.
