Do you like murder investigation shows?

I watch them in Spanish. There is a lot of these dubbed american shows on youtube and the copyright holder doesn't seem to care. I get to improve my spanish while hearing about the dark side of humanity.

The one thing that I notice about a lot of these stories is how normal many of them are.

Normal people leading normal lives and they think they can get away with killing someone, normally their wife/husband etc.

The first 48.

That's a great show
Nearly all of them make a big mistake or fold under questioning!
Exciting stuff

I'm not saying I approve, but a lot of people CAN get away with killing someone. But if it happens to be the wife/husband that is generally a giveaway. If I had a wife who tried to kill me and I survived I think I would be more sad than mad. I understand relationships fizzle out sometimes, but to go from "I do" to "I'm gonna kill you". I would wonder where it went so wrong.

I think thoughts can be like viruses (as inception says).

So the thought "my life woulf be better if they were dead" seems to grow into a murderous plan.

Killing to be with another lover, or to avoid a costly divorce and dividing of assets, seems to be common motivators.

Since most murders go unsolved, you sure CAN get away with it. With those bizarre married folks who murder each other, they were possibly sociopathic to begin with.

I liked the original Medical Detectives (which became Forensic Files) and a similar show on HBO.

I faded out when the explosion of new shows -- including the fictionalized stuff -- occurred.

MSNBC runs old Dateline murder investigation shows on the weekends. I don’t intentionally tune in but often one gets running after the news and I get caught up in it.

reply

Nice. I've seen them. They're like 48 Hours.
