cheesy as it sounds: new friends?

who wants to meet new people (virtually) that share interests?

****comment some of your interests and reply to anyone who you share interests and start talking!

*i'm into yoga, reading, personal development, and arts

reply

I like movies, tv and nfl football.

reply

I'm a Dolphins fan and play Fantasy Football.

reply

Cool. I'm a Packers team.

reply

What do you think is going to happen to Rogers?

reply

I think he is going to continue as the starter for at least a few more years.

reply

I’m a giants fan. Poor poor me

reply

I drafted first in my league and picked Barkley - cost me big time.

reply

You picked him first overall ???

reply

Yes. We have undroppable players in our league and he was one of them, so I was stuck.

reply

Yes the rookie hang over. To be honest I may or may not have done that with the first pick. I had the first pick too and I picked Baker. I was a loser there too: I thought with those wideouts he would get 3 tds a game minimum .

reply

I drafted Mayfield also, but not until round 6 - our league holds out on QB's. I also drafted Lamar Jackson and he was pure gold. I started Mayfield week 1 and benched Jackson - big mistake - that cost me making it to the playoffs, even with Barkley's injury and less than stellar return, I would have made it if I started Jackson in week 1.

And dammit, our league plays for $'s so it SERIOUS! LOL.

reply

Ya Jackson came out like a bat out of hell, riding on ghost riders bike. No one saw that coming. I really bet heavily on kyler to be my backup . I don’t like betting on the grey beards. Rodgers , Brady , brees.. but what the hell did I know

reply

Now I just don’t know where to go. Gronk and stupid face playing for the bucs now, Eli retired, Jones starting for the giants with what I assume will be a sucky back up , but Ben still hanging on .

reply

We do a snake draft and know our position a few days before so we can plan our strategy - round 1 and 2 pretty easy to figure out who will go off the boards and when, but after that it's spread sheets out and trying to figure how to build a team that will make it to the end.

Any more I don't start paying attention until pre season starts because honestly, I can't keep track of all of the trades and who is playing where, so I just wait until then. Except I do expect Brady and Gronk to do very well in TB.

reply

Well there's your problem. He's a retired basketball player (albeit a good one) so he won't help you get any FF points.

reply

Not really, 2 super bowl wins over the greatest team of all time is a pretty good achievement.

reply

I enjoy the underside of rocks, 17 letter words, and ancient Sumerian meat rituals.

reply

I enjoy sorting mail, buying socks online and working at the local library

reply

Wait a minute Captain! I thought this whole time that you might have a boat of some sort!!

reply

Oh I have a boat. But it holds gravy . I do have a pirate bandana though

reply

A cruise on your gravy boat will be our next date ⛵️

reply

It shall be a fantastic voyage!!!

reply

Always good to meet another member of the Benevolent Order of Mail Sorters. What chapter do you belong to?

reply

Local chapter 567. We actually allow junk mail and flyers and what not.

reply

If you buy socks online, have you checked out Good Luck Socks? They are Edmonton based, and although not made in Canada the company itself is Canadian. :) (full disclosure, I know the owner but I like their socks regardless)

reply

Sir, you know a lot about Edmonton

reply

You can take the girl out of Alberta, and then she moves back. haha

reply

Haha! Yes ! I’ve been to fringe

reply

I'm so bummed 😞. And no Stampede. Do you attend?

reply

Stampede is good for some concerts and rodeo, and the big building where you eat all the food . Are you a theatre buff?

reply

Very much a theatre buff.

reply

In Calgary I used to be a stage manager , we had a playwrights festive

reply

Stage managing is fun. I've done a couple of Fringe shows.

reply

Right !! It’s a lot of fun .

reply

What’s your favorite two 17 letter words ? With no googling !

reply

Nawpshawpenheimer and owwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

reply

What an odd coincidence!
Whenever I bust my thumb hammering a nail I shout 'NAWPSHAEPENHEIMER!!' followed by 'OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!'

reply

lol

reply

My interests are travel/cruising, interior decorating, sports cars, football, and history - especially English and Russian.

reply

What kind of sports cars do you like?

reply

I have owned 2 Miatas. I currently have a 2008 that I bought new - done quite a few aftermarket upgrades to it.

My son has a Vette and a Viper, so I'm also into those. I would love to have a 1963 split window Stingray, (in my dreams - LOL) and I like old XKE's.

What do you like?

reply

Well my dad had a yellow 1966 Stingray when I was a kid that was really nice. I’m thinking that might be the same as the 63 you like.

My favorite is probably 1970 Chevelle but I’ve never owned one.

I have restored many trucks over the years, all Chevrolet and GMC. The 2 main body styles were 67-72 and 73-87. I have done others but those are my favorites.

What year is your sons vette?

reply

Yep - a 66 was the same body except 63 was the only year with the split window.

It would be fun to restore something - cool hobby.

His is has a 2015 Z06.

reply

That model Stingray had drum brakes. Not a good choice.

reply

ooohhh i also love travelling but i havent been cruising. i think thats gotta be a lot more fun if you adore the ocean! i like interior design too! theres this cool app called desgin home. shit seems so real XD

reply

Where were your favorite places to visit?

reply

anywhere really, but if i get a chance now to jump on a plane and go somewhere, without a doubt i'd wanna go to iran, my home country. and not because i miss the family (i dont hahaha oops) but the country is beautiful. North iran is freaking Narnia. and i'd also want to go to islands. maybe seychelles or maldives or even the bahamas and thank god iran has an island called Kish, beautiful too.

reply

When I was young I always thought I would like to visit the middle east - but that was before all of the trouble started and now it doesn't look like I will go. Photos of Afghanistan always intrigued me and I would love to see Petra.
I will have to Google pictures of the northern part of Iran to see what it looks like.

reply

don't let whatever is happening now be a barrier. so many people from the US and Europe are visiting middle eastren countries espcially iran and they're seeing it veryyyyy differently than what the media is showing us (so goods things lol)

reply

Well unfortunately right now I'm not going anywhere! Perhaps someday when all of the C19 stuff is over I will make it to the middle east.

I have been to Ephesus, Turkey and it was fascinating.

reply

ugh yes, turkey is beautiful no doubt. i hope you do get to visit the middle east someday :)

reply

It's a trap!

reply

hahahahaha im bad with technology, i wouldnt know how to make this a trap

reply

I like long walks on the beach with thoughts in my hair and the wind in my head. Or something like that.

reply

i love thoughts in my hair :)
