I'm celebrating the safe arrival of my identical twin grandsons late today! A month early, but not unusual for twins, after nearly three weeks of my daughter-in-law's being hospitalized due to some complications. I am very thankful that everyone is doing okay. Whew.

Howβs everything going so far
shareHowdy Captain! So far, so good. Daughter-in-law is home from the hospital. Babies will be in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit for those who don't know) for up to a month. I know the rest of the family is anxious to see the newest family members, but with this virus thing, it's going to be a long time before that happens. But I know DIL is very glad to be home after 2+ weeks in the hospital.

shareYes, but we're hopeful that it won't be quite that long. One twin weighed 5#, 3 oz. The other was 5#, 4 oz. That's really good for twins born early. I was actually a bit surprised they were that big. I think it's a question of lung development.
