Someone with only 4 posts wrote a topic telling us to check out a movie downloading site. I waited to see if anyone would click the link. When I tried to check back, I noticed that the post has been deleted. Not deleted where a post is there but it says "deleted". I mean there is no trace of the post at all.

Having said that a new poster with a 'free stuff' link always seems a tad sketchy to me...
I have no problem with the mods. I just find it strange that they deleted the post because the links are there. I wasn't sure if they deleted it because they clicked the link and found it inappropriate, or they saw that they only had 4 posts and found it suspicious that they posted the link.

I'm on Apple, which no one bothers to write malware for (virtually), so I clicked on it, confirmed it was spam and promptly reported it.

Depends where you live. Some areas allow downloading but not uploading.

shareI'm suspicious of anyone whose first post(s) contains links, especially strange ones, which leads to a suspicion of them being a spammer, in my book. A YouTube link is one thing, but not a link I don't even recognize. I'd never click an unfamiliar link out of concern for viruses or malware.
