Anyone ever owned a Potato peeler
I find mine quite handy when potatoes need peeling
shareThat would be the missus - I’ll get my coat.
shareit would be
shareThe last place my parents lived was not far from Union Square in New York City, and I remember this guy, who set up shop there. One of the very last of the old school street demonstrators.

Oh wow, that guy's amazing! I'd have loved to meet him.
shareMy black girl friends make fun of me because I use a peeler for potatoes. Whatever, I’m a white girl.
shareI had no idea that these were not universally used. People still use a knife to peal veggies?
shareYes! All my girl friends do! Like they just walked off Top Chef or something.
shareI was just going to ask what your friends use instead. I'm a peeler girl 🥔
shareThey laugh at me for it cat! None of them even own peelers and I’ve tried the knife thing. They yelled at me for wasting too much potato! Fine y’all cook then!
shareI've used a knife out of desperation, when there were no peelers. It's too hard to do it without taking off the potato with the skin! They have the unfair advantage of years of knife peeling experience. You should challenge them to a peeler showdown and that would show them who to laugh at!
shareNope.
But then again, I prefer baked potatoes.
And for the record, I prefer to bake them the old fashioned way -- in an oven for an hour.
No microwaved potatoes for me, thank you very much.
Oh yeah, after they've been in there a few minutes, I light the charcoal briquettes on the grill in preparation for grilling the steaks.
I’m pretty sure I could live on instant taters. They’re delicious.
shareI prefer potatoes directly in the stew.
shareSame here - good old-fashioned method - an hour in the oven. And yes, I eat the skins, too.
shareI like the peel. I leave it in mashed taters and I'll eat it like tater skins with baked potato.
