I remember the first time I went to one in Hollywood in 1987. A friend and I would catch garage metal bands at clubs like The Troubador and Whisky a Go-Go since our 18 yr old asses seldom if ever got carded. One time we hit a strip bar afterward. The few ladies who danced were decent looking. But I felt no urge to woop, holler, and cheer. I was acutely aware that I was in a crowd of horny dudes looking at one girl in a dirty bar. The exact opposite environment I desire both aesthetically and biologically. Three things were happening: 1. Cool music which is great and doesn't NOT go with sex but isn't necessarily a magic combo. 2. Passable nude woman in heels gyrating which is an important part of sex (heels optional but what an option!). 3. Shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of boner'ed guys drinking heavily and shouting what they are expected to which is not anywhere near the wheelhouse of sex (maybe for you).
Strip clubs are super lame. However, for the gals who need and enjoy the work, I am glad they exist.
