I think they mean cops, firefighters and nurses (screw doctors, those guys are all jerks!)
I suppose if your pisser is backed up a Plumber would be pretty essential...

I'm a Direct Support Professional and considered essential. Feels like a glorified babysitter but the mom has two adopted kids with disabilities and very different needs and require a lot of supervision. So I'm still working, but we don't go anywhere, which was the primary purpose of the job, community inclusion.
shareI don't think any of those people will refuse money if you call them. It has more to do with brick and mortar businesses from what I've heard. What I'm wondering is why are restaurants still doing take out? Yes, food is essential, but that sounds like an unnecessary luxury to me at a time like this.
My parents had to call in a plumber. He said he was considered essential.
shareA couple of days ago Talk Show host Mark Levin said on air that he got a card and a letter in the mail from Homeland Security stating that he should keep the card in his wallet and the letter in the glove box of his car because as a member of the media he is essential personnel. This was not a gag or joke.
