Movie theatre snacks

Anyone ever stop by the theatre just for snacks ? The theatre by my house had a take home deal. Two huge slices of pizza big bag of popcorn two drinks and a bag of candy. Perfect for movie night at home!

reply

After working at a theatre I kind of hate popcorn, but we used to get people stopping in all the time just for a bag.

reply

Too expensive. If I had the kind of money where it didn't matter to me, I might have, I guess.

reply

That's ingenious of them.

Nope, nearest theatre isn't that near and they probably only have the usual popcorn and boxes of candy.

reply

I live across the street from a multiplex and the smallest bag of popcorn is $5. I'll occasionally splurge on that because my secret indulgence is movie theater fake butter. I always ask for extra.

reply

No, never
Gas station hot dogs on those twirly machines are pretty good with a bag of chips👍

reply

The station by me is always running low except during rat mating season for some odd reason.

reply

Hmmmm....Ratdogs...

I once was casually chatting with a buddy on the phone and asked what he was doing for lunch. He said, buying a super chili dog at 7/11. I was a bit stunned. The way he said it made me figure this was normal for him, so I tried to suggest this didn't sound very healthy -- but his subsequent angioplasty and stent spoke louder.

reply

Stents..We don't need no stinking stents!

reply

why is cinema popcorn so expensive?

reply

It’s hot and fresh with rich creamery butter

reply

Because concessions is where theaters make their money. Except for movies with long runs they don’t make much from the movie itself since most of that money goes to the studios for the first few weeks.

reply

Concerning candy, you can buy the same box of Milk Duds at the $1 store or pay well over $4 at the movies. I don't know how this model sustains itself.

reply

YOU SEEM TO BE RICH AND STUPID...SEND ME SOME MONEY PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

reply

it is so overpriced

reply

just make your own popcorn and buy the rest at a convenience store.
