Pick your favourite Bond...

Rather than post in every Bond film thread, just a heads up that Prime is showing every pre-Craig Bond during the month of April, including OHMSS and both Dalton flicks. Even Never Say Never Again!

A great chance to compare the previous incarnations back to back...

Peter Sellers

Ha!! Internet win for you...

Wasn't it actually David Niven who was THE Bond in that flick?

reply

It's so long since I saw it I can't remember. Niven was the retired Bond in 'Casino Royale' but Sellers is also credited as Bond in the cast list for the film on IMDb.

reply

Yes. I looked it up to sure, and the plot of the 1967 Casino Royale had several characters calling themselves James Bond. Niven was the real one, though.

Timothy Dalton

You've got a nerve showing up here after 'Sanditon' !

Hydrogen. Good luck being alive without them.

reply

I’ll go with Roger Moore. I grew up on Moore but loved Connery as well. I actually haven’t seen any of the Bond movies since Moore but maybe I’ll get around to them sometime.

reply

Connery all the way.

reply

There’s no doubt that he’s the finer actor. I just tended to enjoy how the Moore films had a campy light hearted feel to them.

reply

I didn´t mind Moore´s humorous take, I just found him too old and too unrealistic a fit for Bond as a killer/womanizer. As a child, I never paid much attention but re-watching as an adult, especially in his later years, not only does he look like a grandpa but he also moves/fights like one.
