**Baker's Doodad - Machine Dream - Closed**

Films saliently featuring shots of industrial and complex machinery in action: gear systems, lathes, factory processes, engines, etc., (but NOT looking for ambulatory/sentient robots/characters like Terminator, Tobor, Robocop, no mechs, no cyborgs, etc.)

1. Street of Crocodiles (1986)

2. Snowpiercer (2013)

reply

what does saliently mean?

reply

Conspicuously, prominently. It's open to interpretation what that means for the game, but I generally mean, more than incidentally—not just in the background, or in passing, or in only one minor scene. For instance, I'm thinking of imagery like the intro to Twin Peaks, or Fritz Lang's Metropolis as a sort of ideal, but feel free to bend away from that sort of shot per se.

reply

Conspicuously and prominently seem like opposites to me.

Are you thinking of 'inconspicuously'?
