I don’t know about the cowl but I like how the suit looks practical.

The forearms of the new Bat suit seem to have some steel pipes integrated...very good for hand to hand fighting or blocking knives and such

The cowls design looks okay except the ears look flimsy. I'm not sure how I feel about the goggle looking eyes. The suit itself is a nice idea, but there is too much going on. It looks like random scraps were put together. Bruce Wayne is rich so he should invest in a nicer costume.

The cape will be added later using CGI. Just like they always were in Man of Steel, BvS and Justice League.

shareI like it. It feels more like a plate armor. Since Batman has no superpowers (except his training and his money), it makes sense that he uses as much protection as possible.
I'm not saying it's better than the traditional suit-like approach. It's different, I think both approachs work well.
I don't mind the armour look but this looks like Bruce Wayne just picked up a bunch of scraps and made it into a costume. He's rich, he can do better.
