Just completed a 63 hour fast - feeling good
Before my fast, I was actually feeling down, like in a rut. I have things I want/need to do but I have been lacking motivation.
The phrase 'waking up with dry bones' came to mind, it's what my local priest said once in a homily (he would later leave the priesthood.)
But this fasting has helped me.
You force the body to go into survival mode and today I feel like that fog has lifted.
Maybe fasting is a good way to hit the reset button on mental health as well?
