Ever try on/out things you’ll never buy? (Expensive watches/cars etc?)

I ama little shameless trying on expensive watches I can’t afford. Rolex, Omega, Breitling.

I lie, I could afford some of them but that would be really irresponsible of me, still, I like to window shop.

Tempted to try out some top of the line cars but at the same time, scared they’ll be like “you can’t afford this Porsche”.

I don't care for expensive things
I'm pretty clumsy, I'd just lose it or wreck it:(

I often try exorbitantly expensive Apple computers and high-end headphones so just I'd know what's the state of tech today.

Hardly ever, but these days pretty much never. For one thing, I don't think it is fair to take up a salesman's time if you know in advance you can't make a purchase. There are salesman who will let you try on an expensive watch even if you are upfront about an inability to afford it, if you show admiration for the item--maybe you'll come back someday. But they may also treat you like a cockroach.

I would never take a test drive in a car I knew I couldn't afford.

Window shopping is another matter--I love to window shop. Las Vegas is fantastic for that.

reply

No, I always do it with the intention of buying.

Every Sunday, I go down to Victoria's Secret, and try on every outfit in the store, and then I say, "Oops, I forgot my credit card."

I'm amazed they haven't caught on yet.

reply

I always assumed you were a guy which would make this post doubly funny😂

reply

No. I can't be bothered putting on an act and if I went in there as myself, they'd see I was a poor scumbag immediately

reply

Thank You Sunny
The thought that a totally cool Lady lives on the exact opposite side of the planet and puts up with my shenanigans makes me happy

You are Cool🏄‍♀️

One thing I love about getting older is that I don't get the 'what are you doing in here' look like I used to.

Can't wait for that day

I just couldnt walk around with a watch that is basically just a badge that says I can afford to throw away $20,000 on this useless bit of bling that performs no function except to tell the time , which i already know thanks to my phone.
