shareI envy you. I used to dream of living on acreage within virgin woods. The type of place where you go to the grocery once a month! Of course a large frost free upright freezer would be a requirement. I’ve very much become a loner...from being a party hardy everyday. 🤷🏼♀️
shareOne thing that's essential here is a good generator. It's a big change from being at the bar every night. Took a long time to question Why I was there every night.

shareYou are so right! Change of seasons, changing of the leaves, fishing, hunting...a most perfect place! So many from my home state, Florida, have moved to the area. The Great Smokey Mountains was where I wanted to build a log cabin. A dream gone by...sigh

shareIt is for me/us. We made our next to final move in 2012. We sold our home with 5 acres in Florida and built a house on the MS Gulf Coast. That move was not easy. I’m tired.
In the early 2000’s my daughter, grandkids & I drove to the Blue Ridge to visit a friend who had moved up there. I fell in love with the place...up around Blairsville, GA.
I tell folks - there's nothing like this anywhere else. But I'm biased so...
