I'm just curious. It seems that in the current generation, people are disgusted by the sight of natural body hair on a woman's crotch. I've never understood this. To me it's no different than having hair on your head.

Look, I'll admit there are some women who do what is called a Bikini Wax, but it's usually either models, or women who want to look good while wearing a bikini or thong on the beach. I'm not one of them, because such a wax job looks extremely painful. Even crazier, some male models get that too!
The saddest cases are people who have serious back hair and have to have that waxed, or worse, unwanted facial hair on women, but those are very rare over here.
Most women in the US will shave their legs (usually between the knees and ankles) and underarms, and even wax their legs, but that's it. We leave the crotch alone.
Porn should never been used as a way of assessing what the norms are.

shareI know many women who shave their privates (whether completely or leaving a "landing strip" seems a matter of preference). They're as sensible as anyone else I know. Also judging by the beaches and spring/summer outfits the vast majority shave their legs above the knee in my neck of the woods as well (Massachusetts). Bottom line people do what works for them.
PS, i know many men who landscape their happy fun area as well.
