Stonekeeper's Oscars Weekend Guessing Game: I Recommend THIS Mystery Movie #896 - A Game of Clicks [lud lands the shot with INSIDE MOVES]

Who else has got Oscar fever? It's Christmastime in Tinseltown!

I have a movie in mind and you have to guess which one it is. For each movie you guess, I will give a hint that CONNECTS your guess with the movie I have in mind.

Example of connections: Actor, length, genre, aspect ratio, language, country, year, director, writer in common, rating, number of votes, nominations. It can even be something like: both movies involve bearded guys named Steve.

After several inexplicable guesses featuring the late great Kirk Douglas, lud does his homework and scores with Inside Moves (1980), an overlooked gem if there ever was one. This Oscar-nominated social drama features a talented cast delivering some honest, naturalistic performances led by John Savage as a broken man trying to move forward after a suicidal episode by way of community support. Also notable are David Morse as a basketball player hoping to go pro and the great Amy Wright in a flooring portrayal as his junkie girlfriend. This movie didn't get a lot of attention upon its release, but anyone who seeks it out will find a rewarding and multi-layered study of solace and redemption.
