Your Kid’s Favorite Movies

I thought it might be fun to list some of our kids favorite films. I have two girls and one is not all that into films, but one is big time. I hope I haven’t created a monster because she seems like a chip off the ole block. What are your kid’s favorites?

I asked my daughter to list some off the top of her head and instead she showed me a Top 10 list on her phone complete with dates: 😀

The Crow (1994)
The Shining (1980)
Pew Wee’s Big Adventure (1985)
The Thing (1982)
Apocalypse Now (1979)
Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
Suspiria (1977)
Red Dawn (1984)
Aguirre: Wrath of God (1972)
Airplane (1980)

Trust me. I know that scenario.

How old is the young lady that made this awesome list?

reply

She’s fifteen but I’m not sure if it’s a good or bad thing. 😄

reply

They're all highly acclaimed films, with a cult like devotional following, I'd be proud.

reply

👍

reply

if she's 15 & likes red dawn, aguirre & suspiria, then i'd say that is kinda awesome.

though you might be a little worried about her having the tastes of a crusty 50 year old man.

Naturally, it depends on the age of the children. In my case, I'm nominating my 10-year-old granddaughter. I don't know all her favorites, but I do know a few:

Frozen
How to Train Your Dragon
Toy Story
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (old and new)

reply

Currently Wonderpark (she’s 5).

So sick! What a cool kid, man. That is very close to what my list would have been at that age... In fact it still is... I'm looking at half of those flicks on my VHS shrine across the room right now! Pee Wee!!!! It must be great to have a dad who's into the good stuff.

reply

Wait! You have a VHS shrine as well?? 👍👍👍👍

reply

Yeah man I ONLY collect VHS of movies that I consider lifelong inspirations, those that are tattooed on my essence forever, and display them standing up like holy idols. 😎

Fucc yea VHS shrine!

reply

You must share the names of those standing like Idols! This sounds like the list of all list.
