There has been a lot of women-bashing going on here for the past few months, and Forsaken came in swinging, although he wasn't the only one. People went pretty easy on him for a long time, but everyone has their limit.
That sort of thing shouldn't be on here anyway. In the Standards it says under Prohibited Content "Content that incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender."

Maybe. I don't agree with most of what he wrote but I also don't agree with the pile-on behavior. It's a form of bullying and it's ugly.

shareI'm going to respond to that since I was the one who used "mob mentality", Cat. I agree with both you and Stratego. Don't think for a minute I'm taking his side here. If that had been the case, you would have seen me chime in from time to time in some of those arguments. I disliked that poster intensely and I'm glad he's gone. I've responded in like manner to posters here who have claimed to hate people in general. As a matter of fact, he was one of those. We locked horns over that and I wound up on his Ignore list.
I'll rephrase my comment as TJ's post was subtly reminiscent to me of when a mob mentality was somewhat prevalent here. Better?
