BEING SAD OVER A DEATH MAKES MY DAUGHTER AND I TARGETS FOR INSULTS.

NOT COOL.DOESNT EVEN BEGIN TO MAKE SENSE...TODAY WAS A SAD DAY,IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.

reply

As a life long target I sympathize with and condole you and your daughter for your grief and distress.

reply

Yeah, some people are just dicks. Try not to let them get to you.

reply

I AM A MESS TODAY...DOESNTHELP THAT I KEEP EXPECTING HUMANITY TO HAVE A LITTLE HUMANITY TO IT.

reply

It's okay to be sad. It was a tragedy and people died. It's natural to grieve and be upset, even if you didn't know them personally. (sending virtual hugs)

reply

I TRUELY APPRECIATE YOUR POSTS..THANK YOU.

reply

What Allaby said. šŸ‘ People come into our lives in different ways. We may not know them personally, but they do have an effect on us, and it is sad when they are gone, especially when tragically, they die suddenly and at such a young age.

reply

I've never been an NBA or Kobe fan but I've been steadily following today's news and have become increasingly more saddened by it. This is a tragedy in every sense of the word. The poignant images of Kobe and his family being currently displayed by the media are profoundly touching. I know there exists a special love between a dad and his daughter, Kowalski. Times like this always bring the internet scum out of the woodwork. You've got friends here.

reply

I find you very fun and I salute your sweet relationship with your daughter, I have a lovely 13 year old daughter myself and she is my lovely Princess

If some person gave you shit you crack the old nuckles and show them what it is...lower the boomšŸ˜‰

reply

I WAS INCHES FROM TAKING A BREAK FROM HERE BASED ON SOME EARLIER SHIT...WHICH SUCKS CAUSE I REALLY DIG IT HERE...THIS SITE GAVE ME A SMILE THOUGH...THEY HANDLED THE NASTINESS AND GAVE ME SOME REASSURANCE IN THE WHOLE SITE.

reply

Eh, stick around Amigo, I'd prefer you not leave

The world gives you a hard time?
You punch it right the fuck in the facešŸ˜¬

reply

I support you KOWALSKI. You're probably the funniest poster here.
Don't leave. I take breaks. I catch hella shit around here.
It's a tragedy and you're grieving.
Your friends understand that.

reply

There's nothing wrong with feeling shock and sadness over the death of a public figure who has been part of culture and people's lives, even if they never met or knew that person personally.

There are always those people who attack that kind of thing; they don't understand how and why it's valid to feel sad at such a death. It not usually worth explaining to them. Just ignore those people.

reply

This happens with public figures. When Johnny Cash died in 2003, I really felt it because my father was such a big fan. My dad had passed away three years earlier.

reply

For some reason when John Kennedy died it made me feel really sad. I'm not a fan of the Kennedy's but I was 13 when JFK was assassinated and I remember him saluting his father's coffin.

reply

THANK YOU EVERYONE,FOR ALL YOUR WORDS.TODAY WAS TERRIBLE,TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER.THE BRIGHT SIDE(I THINK) OF A VERY BAD DAY IS IM EVEN MORE IN LOVE WITH THIS SHITHOLE THAN I WAS BEFORE...GOD HELP ME.

reply

From one Pollack to another Kowalski, donā€™t you think youā€™ve went a wee bit overboard on this? Lordy me, I would hate to be around you if someone you knew personally was tragically killed. BTW, with you being the king of uppercase, itā€™s difficult to tell if you are actually yelling due to you being upset.

reply

OVERBOARD?...NO...YELLING?...NO...A LITTLE BACKGROUND...KOBE WAS DRAFTED MY FRESHMAN YEAR,I SPENT MY ENTIRE ADULT LIFE FOLLOWING AND ILL ADMIT,WORSHIPPING THE MAN...I BLEED PURPLE AND GOLD...I HAVENT MISSED A GAME OR A DAY READING COUNTLESS ARTICLES IN,OH JESUS...20 SOME YEARS...MY DAUGHTER IN THE NURSERY AT THE HOSPITAL IS HOLDING A KOBE BEAR.SHE HERSELF HAS GROWN INTO QUITE THE FAN...KOBE BRYANT WAS MORE THAN SOME BASKETBALL PLAYER,TO ME AND MANY,MANY MORE...WHO DID NOT KNOW HIM IN THE SLIGHTEST.I AM NOT ABLE TO CONTROL WHAT I FEEL AND WHEN...WHEN MY GRANDMOTHER DIED,IT FUCKED ME UP...WHEN MY CAT DIED,IT FUCKED ME UP...WHEN KOBE AND HIS DAUGHTER DIED,IT FUCKED ME UP...QUITE FRANKLY I FIND PEOPLES SUGGESTION OF HOW TO APPLY MATH TO THE SITUATION AND GAUGE THESE KINDS OF TRAGEDIES AND PEOPLES HANDLING OF THEM LIKE THERES A CHART AND A GRAPH FOR WHICH DEGREE OF DESPAIR YOU ARE ALOTTED TO BE A REAL DICK MOVE.

reply

Well, setting your profanity aside, I can definitely tell you wear your heart on your sleeve. Not a thing wrong in doing so. The following is what concerned me as I thought your daughter was currently in the hospital, until I realized you meant past tense. Thank goodness! Through the decades weā€™ve all latched onto a public figure who came to mean more to us and was tragically killed. You do feel like youā€™ve lost a friend. When Annette Funicello died I felt loss because I grew up with her, not literally. I realized, damn I am old! My youth is gone. But, Iā€™ve never reacted the way you are doing. Iā€™m seeing schoolmates die, but thatā€™s life.

What is heart wrenching is watching your best friend and her husband who happened to be my Maid of Honor and he Best Man bury their 10 year old daughter along with her cousin.

reply

But, Iā€™ve never reacted the way you are doing....IM JUST SAD DUDE...IT IS WHAT IT IS...IM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSSES BUT THE "DICK MEASURING NATURE" OF HOW THEY WERE MENTIONED STRIKES ME AS CRASS AND UNCALLED FOR...AS FOR ALL THESE SHENANIGANS SURROUNDING THIS TOPIC...I REPLIED ON A FEW RIP THREADS AND TROLL ASS POSTERS DECIDED TO TURN IT INTO A RAPE AND INSULT PARTY AND INVOLVED MY DAUGHTER IN THERE COMMENTS..THE MODS HAVE SINCE DEEMED THERE ACTIVITY ASSININE AND REMOVED IT AND SPANKED THEM.PAST THAT IM SAD BUT COOL...THANKS FOR YOUR WEIRDNESS THOUGH.HAVE A NICE NIGHT

reply

Well, thereā€™s absolutely no excuse to involve your daughter! I didnā€™t know anything about Kobe as I donā€™t follow basketball. But, there was no reason to debate you over his past offense. Apparently Kobe was guilty of something, but you and especially your daughter should not have been attacked. If the posters wanted to discuss Kobe and his offense they could have done so without involving you or your daughter.

Edit:
I decided to read the thread to which you were referring. To be honest you were very much a part of the argument. When you read other posters felt differently from you the best action would have been for you to back out. The other posters have a right to post their thoughts. Calling a victim a bitch didnā€™t help even if the situation was questionable. If there is a slightest chance he was guilty, and the facts lean more toward he was, people donā€™t like to put offenders on pedestals. He may have been a great basketball player, but it doesnā€™t negate his offense. Sometimes people canā€™t handle the truth. BTW, the thread is still there for others to read. Also, there were 7 other people who perished in the crash. RIP for them!

reply

I always feel sad when I hear of another's death whether I knew them or not.Having lost a few loved ones myself it's easy to empathize.i was especially saddened to hear that Kobes young daughter passed with him.

reply

Unfortunately, not everyone is nice. Just take a deep breath and donā€™t let them get under your skin.
