Michael Jordan apparently killed short shorts for men in America

Basketball shorts used to be quite short, and then the fitness craze of the 80s saw guys wearing short shorts everywhere.

But Jordan didn't like the look and started to wear longer shorts.

By the late 80s the trend was catching on.

Now most american guys wouldn't be caught dead wearing short shorts.

If it took a celebrity to kill it off, it will probably take a celebrity to bring it back.

I wear short shorts. Wanna scrap, I will evaporate your retinas with my pasty white yet resplendently sculptured thigh meats. Don't give a fucc in this WORLD MFER.

Sadly, I'm just a victim of fashion when it comes to shorts.

And I’m glad he did. Short shorts are like cutoff jean shorts - they only look good on women.

If you've got a fit body (like many did in the 80s) it was okay, but I don't think it would work with todays men.

Good point.

I’ve gotta respectfully disagree. I remember them most on the basketball players and they were all fit, but they all just looked like big dorks!

The long, baggy shorts have a tendency to look like skirts sometimes.
