shareMost of them are disinfo trolls. Trust me. People have been seeing the same massive uptick in newly registered members this year in other places, especially Flipboard. I saw well over 100 new posters registered in the span of a weekend, and many of them were posting using other people's names snatched from various sites. I guess the idea is to post using someone who has an active profile at, say, Linked In or some other place to make it look as if he/she is legit.
