About that Iran plane crash by missle. Do you think the passengers suffered or died instantly?

Morbid curiosity.

reply

Who knows ?

reply

The aircraft was not instantly destroyed, but there was only about 90 seconds between the first missile detonation and the eventual crash, so at least they didn't suffer for very long.

reply

Seems like a simple answer to me. Most of the suffering is mental in the moments before hitting the ground. They die instantly when they hit the ground, so unlikely their brains have enough time to process any physical suffering.

I beg to differ. There´s not that much mental suffering in a free fall compared to other situations. Hence, why a lot of people jumped off the WTC over being burned alive.

reply

I do not know why my hypothetical response to illustrate the point got deleted...

Man, that is a totally different situation.

Wanting to jump off of a building is way different that suddenly being pushed off.

Psychological suffering is the only kind of real suffering.

reply

Its unpleasant sure but I would take 90 seconds of free fall in a plane to my instant death over being burnt alive in a fire for 5 mins plus.

reply

You are intellectualizing it.

That's a psych term for thinking you understand something by the fact but you aren't thinking enough and feeling it emotionally.

What did many people do when they knew they were going to die in 911?

reply

I´m not going to continue debating which is worse, since it´s a completely subjective issue. I have my opinion, you have yours. Let´s leave it at that.

reply

It's not subjective at all.

Humans are the only being capable of true suffering due to our imaginative thought process.

You're a simpleton.

reply

There is nothing to prove one is worse than the other. It´s all in the eye of the beholder. The fact you can´t even recognize it as a subjective issue, goes to show who the true simpleton is.

reply

Everyone, did you know that TheAdlerian "works in psych". He's the most expert person alive on human behavior. His level of knowledge is so profound that he can diagnose a child with ADHD based on whether the child likes video games. He also has the best vocabulary and command of the English language on the planet. Read through his posts and you will be amazed!

reply

I'm glad you liked it all.

Much appreciated.

reply

LMAO!!

reply

Missiles don't have so much explosives that they vaporize the plane as in movies. Rather, they severely damage the plane and it crashes.

So, for no reason, many people died in terror and confusion.

reply

They didn't die instantly. For a minute or two, they were fully conscious that they were falling/crashing to their deaths and probably shrieking with terror the entire time. That Kevin Cosgrove phone call from the Twin Towers on 9/11 told me all I needed to know what happens in those final moments. It's a phone call I wish I had never heard.

reply

Plus the poor passengers were being burnt alive during the whole ordeal. Awful way to go.

Yes I've heard the Cosgrove call before. Chilling.

reply

Has that been confirmed? Im sure some got burnt from the missile but would have assumed most would have died on impact with the ground.

reply

I assume it was on fire judging from the YouTube videos I saw of the plane on its way to the ground. It appeared to be on fire.

reply

Would they have not lost consciousness due to being exposed to outside air?

reply

Depends on the altitude. At high altitude yes, but this plane was shot down not long after take off so I´m assuming the people that survived the explosion and weren´t burnt alive would have been conscious before they hit the ground. There are also oxygen masks that come down in an emergency. All of my knowledge is Mayday/Air Crash investigation related, FYI.

reply

I'm curious to the autopsy results.

reply

It will be the same as every other autopsy report for something like this--death due to blunt force/impact (from hitting the water) and yes, in some cases, drowning (but it's very likely that anybody who was alive when they hit the water was unconscious and near death anyway).

reply

Thanks Trump!

reply

[deleted]

I have.

It's Trump.

reply

Soleimani was a designated terrorist and responsible for over 600 US deaths viz IED's according to a 2018 U.S. Department of Defense study. Not to mention another 1,600 soldiers who were maimed or injured from the devices.

Furthermore, most recently, he was behind a rocket attack that killed a US Contractor and most likely also had his hand in the Baghdad Embassy attack. When we took him out, he was riding with the Commander of Kata'ib Hezbollah, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was listed as a terrorist in the United Arab Emirates and in the U.S.

We had every right to take that guy out. So, remind me, how is it Trumps fault?

reply

Sigh.

There were no attacks during the JCPOA

Trump pulling out of it triggered Iran to start attacking us.

He literally caused this cycle of violence to start.

reply

Iran has been funding terrorism long before Trump came into play. Soleimani had been designated a terrorist as far back as 2007, along with the QUD Force.

reply

Depends what part of the plane they were on I would imagine. I would say for some it was instant if the missile hit their section directly, others may have been sucked out and then perhaps some had to spend the 90 seconds waiting helplessly for the plane to crash.
