Aaron Hernandez Story

I'm watching on Netflix now. I have no way to understand why a young man with money, gentle voice and puppy dog eyes was also a gangsta who shot people, including his "friend" point blank in the head.

I guess that's why the case is so fascinating. How does a "nice guy" also have such an evil side?

reply

I read that he suffered repeated sexual abuse and beatings as a little kid and struggled with his sexuality as a grown man...That sort of stuff must really mess a person up

He had blood on his hands but I pity the guy in the end

Terrible story, I will skip the new doco

reply

It's only speculative that a male baby sitter did something to him.

I think the whole "hiding your sexuality caused this" is PC spin.

Some gay guys like it on the down low and like their macho personality as well.

I think the argument that if their were gay acceptance in his home life he'd have been okay is absurd. He wasn't gay, he was a perv and was enjoying his friends bits and pieces.

reply

I'm no expert on the subject of 'PC Spin,' I don't dwell on that nonsense
It just seems to me that childhood trauma ruined his life is all I meant

reply

His father dying at 16, his mother hooking up with a new man soon after, graduating highschool a year early, I think those things screwed him up.

reply

Those were probably factors too

reply

He obviously wasn't a nice guy. He was a fuckin scumbag.

reply

Considering the terrible things that happened to him at a young age it's not surprising he turned into a crazy person

His aggressive behavior and involvement in serious crimes are serious business and deserved arrest

It's just a really bad story all around

reply

A lot of people go through what he went through, and they find a way to cope with it, and most of them aren't millionaires. It isn't an excuse.

reply

True, it's not an excuse

reply

They pretend to cope with it. You have no idea what someone's interior life is.

I'm not making excuses either.

reply

They don't all "pretend". Some actually suck it up and don't let it consume them. Tragedy comes in many forms and happens to almost everyone in different ways at some point in their lives. People have learned to lean on those as excuses for their actions all to often.

He was mentally ill, suffering from severe CTE, a brain disorder. That probably caused him to do the terrible things he did.

😎

reply

I had to look up CTE, had never heard of that
Jeez, this guy's life was the 'perfect storm' of trauma and tragedy

reply

CTE is a huge deal in the NFL. That's why when a player gets hit in the head, they evaluate him, and if it's a concussion, they put him in "concussion protocol". He will then be out for a period of time.

And yes it was. Sad.

😎

reply

Some people are just pieces of shit too.

reply

Satanism is always about inversion. Its just weird the whole thing

reply

It is a really sad story. You can’t believe he was able to cheat with the team that he was getting better.

He was behaving so well in front of the team and then boom everyone finds out he was still doing a lot of bad stuff when he was with his friends.
But it’s clear he was messed up by someone I’m sure the CTE happened way before got into the NFL.

reply

Netflix is very good at this, the confession killer and the ted bundy tapes are good as well.
