Hellboy
What a piece of crap. Not only stupid and boring it was infuriating even. There may be worse movies of 2019 like Cats or Terminator Dark Fate, but luckily I managed to avoid them. What was yours?
I find Hellboy to be more boring than bad. It was decently made but it was difficult to sit through the boredom.
shareExactly. That's what made me so angry because they had so much materials and even had a template already, the first Hellboy movie. But instead, they made an ultra bland, generic, cookie-cutter superhero story wasting away one of the most interesting character design and premise. A huge letdown. Why make this movie at all, really, if they had no interest on ressurecting the franchise by trying new ideas. What a waste of resources and energy.
I enjoyed and respect MIB International or Dora more because at least they tried new ideas whether or not they turned out working, unlike this boring ass failed cashgrab that didn't even try.
Apparently Brightburn came out in 2019. It isn't necessarily bad, although it is, but the worst thing about it is what a waste of a premise it was. I was thinking of a Superman who grew up evil, or at least bad, and just did selfish things. That would've been awesome. But instead we got a kid with barely any character development who suddenly turns bad out of nowhere.
Oh, and a friend forced me to watch Endgame. It definitely wasn't bad, but I don't think I would've missed out on much if I had skipped it.

I LIKED HELLBOY..FELT VERY CLOSE TO THE COMIC...NOT THE GREATEST FILM EVER..NOT A BAD ONE EITHER.
shareYeah, I estimate that the overwhelmingly negative response is more due to this new one taking a different creative approach than the Del Toro films which leaned more into the fantasy elements. 2019 Hellboy is like a Danzig album cover come to life.
