What do women want in a man?
Just curious...
shareI've found that intellect and a sense of humor are definite requirements.
shareI'm a guy but I think different women would want different things in a man. Some women want a nice guy, some like a really intelligent guy, some women want a guy with money or power, some want a guy with good family values.
shareI think this is the best answer. But I hear "nice guys" are a total turn-off for women. Especially "mama boys".
shareNice guys are great.
Mama's boy, unfortunately is a no-no.
I don’t know if I’m a mama’s boy but I do respect and care for my parents. I call or visit every day and try to help them out whenever needed. It seems like those would be positive traits.
shareThey are.
However, when you are married, and you are spending your weekends mowing your Mom's lawn and doing things for her instead of your own family it becomes a problem.
I'm not, unfortunately, a nice guy. I am decent.
I am most definitely a mama's boy and always have been. God help anyone who so much as looks at her the wrong way.
Tho truthfully, even at 5', 100lbs and 77 years of age, she rarely needs me to defend her ;)
I want all of that!
shareHow you dooin?
shareI said I wanted a really intelligent guy! You can't even correctly spell your own darn name!
shareSmart enough to find my way to the Gspot.
shareYou still believe in Santa as well???

common sense
shareIt depends on the moment in the menstrual period.
The high fertility days, women are attracted to good gene markers, in a nutshell, 'hot guys'.
The rest of the period, they're more attracted to providers, in a nutshell, money, social status, aggressiveness, intelligence, and such.
Secondary elements as niceness or sense of humor only score if they can add to the provider status. For example: a nice guy is less likely to abandon his partner and her litter... but that only matters if that guys scores as a good provider in first case. Otherwise, it's useless. Same with sense of humor: it's proxy for intelligence, and intelligence scores for both good genes and ability to provide. However, trying to be funny is not very appreciated. It's being intelligent what actually scores, not being funny.
Women are fascinating creatures. Very interesting.
shareI think a female perspective would be appropriate here.
shareThere seems to be some vitrol against women on here for some reason. I wonder why?
shareI don't know Eric, I don't understand it either.
But my comment was more a suggestion to get the thoughts of some of the women here. As it is, it's a bunch of guys theorizing about what women want, which is never gonna produce solid answers!
I can't give an answer, because I like being single. I'm not 'looking' for anything.
I, sometimes wish I had someone around to reach things that are too high for me, I'm only 5'1". Or if someone was into exactly all the same shows that I like.
All my past relationships just added problems instead of subtracting them.
Trustworthy, dependable must love dogs. Even tempered. Interesting. Has their own thing, not just attaching onto mine.
But what do I know, I'm twice divorced.
Trusting only women to tell you what they want won't bring the best results either. Most people are dishonest with both themselves and others about what they trully want. For example, a woman will say she likes guys that are nice and she'll believe it - until she gets in a relationship with one and realizes nice guys are fucking boring.
Most comments here are from guys trying to make an objective assesment based on their experience, which doesn't give the whole truth either, but shouldn't be completely dismissed.
