Now For A Bit Of Levity😱 The More You Play With It, The Harder It Gets

Leave it up to me to find off the wall things! I don’t look for odd things (like the see through boxer shorts which looked like plastic wrap)! They just pop up! 🙇🏼‍♀️

From a 1990 Sega ad: OMG!

Be sure and read the whole ad...something about a knob...

reply

Those were the times LOL You could release this kind of add without having puritans crying all over the place. Now that would be impossible :-(

reply

Y’all are correct. This one came from a list of ads as follows; but none were as jaw dropping!

That's hilarious! And kuku's right - probly couldn't do it today without some PC-tard getting "triggered".

reply

Love it!

Happy to make your day, WanKing! 😉

reply

That's a very apropos greeting, lol!

reply

I bow to your presence Obi Wan! The more I read it the funnier it becomes! “...pulling and squeezing your knob.” OMG! 😂

reply

No way the wording in that ad is accidental or a coincidence.

reply

It’s an ‘in joke’ regarding my ‘Chinese’ name. I will forever be known as Wan King!

reply

I'm aware. I read those posts.

👍

reply

that has to be a parody.

reply

That it was! 💁🏼‍♀️ This was above the ad:

“Sega is iconic in the gaming world. It brought joy to many with the legendary “Mortal Kombat” and “Sonic” games. It played a big role in igniting the gaming console culture that continues to thrive today. So what is wrong with the ad?“

This was below the ad. They knew full well what they were doing:😏

“ Well, the picture is suggestive especially when you read the ad. Cheeky adolescent joke there. As humorous as it feels, this is quite distasteful, especially considering that most users of Sega were people below adult age.”

I remember in the 90's game magazines were choc full of ridiculous risque, gross, and squirty-boner-ific ads none of which would fly now. What a time that was.

Stuff like this:

"Kick some balls. Get a monster bone."

Heh.

OMG! In my 7 plus decades I have never seen legit ads such as these! Sleazy isn’t strong enough to describe them. A wee bit more and they could be considered soft porn. My gaming stopped with “Intellivision” so I would never had noticed these smut filled ads.
But, when you think about it the comics since day one, Marvel and DC, have always emphasized a woman’s anatomy...from top to bottom! Barbie did also, but the comics were/are far worse. You couldn’t miss the pronounced cleavage!

SEGA advertised with the smut, yet I can recall when horror comics were censored and disappeared in the 1950’s. I was a comic book crazed young girl. I had stacks of them which were disposed of when we moved. There was a wine store which sold comics and permitted kids to trade 2 comics for 1 comic. It was a good way to get rid of the bad and walk out with a good one. The store was run by a dirty old man who molested kids.

I knew before I even scrolled down that this was definitely not an American ad lol. That would never fly here back in that era.
